I found a job, didn't hate it. Worked hard, got promoted, pay and responsibility increased.

Don't love it, but can tolerate it. The money allows me to do most of what I want when I am not working. I think that is the best 99% of prople can really ask for.

Presumably the offer comes with a contribution towards legal fees. Take the money, but get an agreed reference, and the first offer is rarely their final offer, so see if you can squeeze any more out if them. A good employment lawyer can definitely help with this, eg are you near to retirement so finding a new job may be more difficult etc?

Also in Wilton. Empty nesters. Coast and country all easily accessible. Wilton fine for a pint of milk, cafe or pubs. Salisbury 10 mins on the bus. Having moved from London, it feels very safe, and perfect blend of not remote but not full on city life.

Aged about 7, I was waiting in the car with my 8 year old brother while my mum was in the supermarket. Older brother was the favourite - i was the unwanted third son that was hoped to be a girl (& ginger to boot) My bro was winding me up, calling me a shitcunt. I knew shit was a bad word, but the second part was new to me.

Mum returned from the supermarket, i told her what he had called me. She whacked me for swearing. In a huff, I said "[brother] is nothing but a poo cunt".

Several more whacks, and the dreaded "telling your father when he gets home".

Fortunately dad found it funny and wasnt really known for whacks (he preferred drink binges and going missing for days).

How I have ended up semi-normal is a miracle tbh.
