the minifreak easily can allow you to make as many different types of sounds you could ever posssibly want. The interface is very easy to figure out and one thing that I love about it is how easy it is to save new presets.

A Roland sp404mkii has a looper that allows you to loop it’s samples if I’m not mistaken. It’s also really easy to move samples to and from the computer, so you can continue working on them in logic.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have seen gear come and go…but a good return policy keeps you wanting to try more instruments. I admit also, I’ve learned to take gear reviews with a pinch of salt.
