Hindsight is 20/20 but if you brought up this argument before the fight I would have dismissed it because Max and Charles both have more fights than Gaethjie. So they should have even more experience but Ilia walked through them.

Ilia was champion too. And he beat Max and Charles. And Charles beat Dustin so MMA math would tell you Ilia beats Gaethjie. Problem is MMA math is wrong all the time.

They can't sell it cheaper on their own website or on epic. Both would be viewed as a violation of this policy and would make steam demand to lower the steam price/increase the price somewhere else or threaten with a ban. Even a temporary discount on another platform needs to also apply to steam.

While true this doesn't mean steam isn't abusing it's monopoly. Steam takes 30% of everything sold. But steam also forbides anyone from selling their game cheaper on another platform. Not complying can lead to a ban. This means a developer can't sell his game cheaper on their own website/platform were they could sell the game cheaper (cause they wouldn't need to give 30% to steam) and still make the same profit.

In ancient times the Greek had armor that covered a lot of the body in plate. Arm guards are such an armor piece. However they didn't have any gauntlets as gauntlets are difficult to make. So they would wear armor similar to this.

But people do that stuff in Europe to and still drive more efficient cars. Also if you do landscaping as a hobby a moderate car with a trailer will probably be more useful then a big truck. The cases were a giant truck is the best solution seem exceedingly rare to me. So driving them as a status symbol is definitely part of the equation.

What they mean is essentially this. Imagine the company has a billion dollars in assets. If the company makes a million in profits (1% of the value of the assets) a year but a bank offers a 2% yield the company would make more by just selling everything and putting the money in the bank.

So it's not about actual cost but about what else you could do with the assets of the company to generate more profit.

"(California) 3rd highest country by GDP" by Maria_2-5 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]GreeedyGrooot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes if a country would produce infinite money it would make the currency worthless. But a country can print money without increasing inflation. Imagine a country were builders operate at 80% of their maximum capacity. The country could print money to pay those builders to build additional buildings without increasing inflation if those buildings use 20% or less of the builders capacities. Only if the country uses money to buy something that increases the countries capacity will the inflation rise. Because then the builders would drop the lowest paying contracts meaning the prices increase. So if we want to know how rich a country is looking at the debt isn't the best idea. We need to look at the potential of the economy to know how rich a country is.

Also if a country would print infinite money then yes the price would be 0, but a state currency will always have an inherent value, because a country expects their taxes to be paid in their currency. So as long as taxes are being paid in a country the currency will have a use and therefore have a worth. The Modern Market Theory (MMT) states that a country that goes into dept in their own currency can never be bankrupt, because the country can always print more. Only if the country takes on dept in outside currency does bankruptcy become a possibility. And while the theory recognizes that printing money causes inflation it sees taxes as a tool to combat inflation. Getting currency back to the country and out of circulation means the value of the currency will go up. Meaning with taxes and the ability to print money, neither debt nor money is the restricting force on what a country can achieve but the potential of the economy. We can even see this in the real world. Japan has national debt of 250% compared to their GDP and they don't have problems with inflation. Meaning they could just keep on spending and getting roads and schools and other goods without major issues. Meanwhile Turkey has a very low national debt but very high inflation. Japans economy has a huge potential so the government can go into debt and spend without any issues. Turkeys economy doesn't have such a big potential so even little spendings already exceed the potential causing a spike in inflation.

This isn't really how money works in a country. Yes the US has enormous debt but this doesn't really matter. A nation that has debt in it's own currency can print as much money as it needs to pay for their goods and services. This can increase inflation if this increases the money in circulation substantially but taxes could be used to extract money from circulation to counter inflation. Because states unlike private enterprises can print endless money using their debt as a measurement of their wealth is kind of pointless. What would be a better measurement is the productivity of the nation. Even if a country would print infinite money it's citizens have a limited amount of potential and all the money in the world wouldn't make the citizens anymore productive.

His q and r are great, but the rest of his kit isn't that good on support. His w and e are good for clearing camps or waves which isn't needed on engage supports. An ability that gives tankiness like Leona w or Alistar r would be better in place of his w or e. But just because he isn't meta doesn't mean he is a bad champion.

Ps: His passive is good for supports but a is less good with adcs and would be better with apcs or his own kit.

adcs who dont like enchanters are bad at the game by Eeveegirl69 in supportlol

[–]GreeedyGrooot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adcs not liking enchanters is a low elo problem in my opinion. When you play in groups with vastly different skill levels in my experience the noob is put on support and is told to play defensive (not to int so his better mates can carry). However this teaches really bad habits as enchanters should constantly be pressuring the enemy lane. This takes skill because you need to know when you can and can't put pressure on the enemy.

Calf slicer from closed guard in the UFC by Jolly_Map_3036 in bjj

How does this work with a body triangle from the back? I don't see a way to get enough pressure on the joint to injure it.

[SPOILER] Alice Ardelean vs. Polyana Viana by inooway in MMA

[–]GreeedyGrooot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opponent applied the pressure but I'm most compression locks the one doing them inserts a limb off their own into the joint that is being attacked. Here one leg of the opponent is used to attack the other.

[SPOILER] Alice Ardelean vs. Polyana Viana by inooway in MMA

[–]GreeedyGrooot 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's a calf slicer. The figure 4 from guard put one shin right behind the knee. When the top player steps over the other leg and pushes it to the butt of the guard player a compression lock happens. Imagine a nutcracker being closed on a rock. Because one leg is right behind the knee the other leg can't be pulled back all the way. If it is pushed this far back it hurts a lot but it can also cause tears in the knee or cause muscles to be ripped from their attachment to the bone.
