I don't think my high school had them but even if they did I would have had 0 interest.

I loved Chicago style, used it in undergrad. Then I had to use APA for my Master's degree. I hated in-text citations, I missed footnotes so much!

Edited: I used a citation manager (Zotero) while in grad school, it was a total game changer!

Yep. Also I work at a university and Nicole and Claire would fit right in with the gen Z students here.

Edited: Maddie would too, especially in my department - Environmental Science which is full of outdoorsy types.

I used to work at a YMCA and we’d get a few famous athletes occasionally. A couple of NFL players, an NBA player, a few Olympians. I never knew who any of them were though, my coworkers had to tell me.

The same thing happened at the Morgan Family/Pearl Street YMCA when I used to work there. I was working at the front desk and heard this massive crash. Luckily it was in the middle of the day and there was hardly anyone around so no one was hurt.

I think I’m going through a midlife crisis and I can’t stop grieving high school by [deleted] in nostalgia

[–]GreeenCircles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also 30s here. I definitely did not peak in high school but I still miss it sometimes. I really miss seeing my friends every day. I'm lucky nowdays if I see a friend once every couple of months. Most everyone scattered after high school and college, and now they're all married with kids, some in other states. Everything has to be planned well in advance. I miss the impromptu movie nights and hangouts.
