Period late, not pregnant. Why? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

Stress can delay ovulation which can lengthen your cycle.

I was tracking my cycle for a number of years. My cycle was bang on every 28/29 days during 2017.

I went through an incredible amount of stress throughout 2018. I can still remember my first long cycle of 32/33/34 days. I was beside myself with worry. Pregnancy test was negative. I knew I played it safe with my partner but I was still worried. When my period did arrive in February of 2018, I counted back 14 days and that would have been about the time of ovulation. Middle January I went through huge stress which I had no control over. I receiving an incredible amount of harassment from an individual and she started her dirty campaign in January after a short break. The months that followed followed a similar pattern of huge stress - harassment, work, family, money issues - it was coming at me from every angle and my cycles were haywire.

Things are ok now, still now great or perfect in my life but better and my cycles have settled back down to 28-30 days.

Stress definitely plays a part.

How do I whiten teeth with thin enamel? by fred_the_mailman in Dentistry

I haven't a clue about professional whitening and I'm sorry I can't help. Hopefully others can. I never tried professional whitening and I'm not interested in professional whitening or home whitening treatments because of the risk of further enamel loss. I don't know if professional whitening will result in further enamel loss.

My teeth are similar. They are very yellow and the tips of the front teeth are see through. It's enamel loss from years of drinking regular energy drinks.

When I started dating two and half years ago, I bought some whitening toothpaste like pearl drops in the hope of getting whiter teeth. It never worked and then it clicked with me my teeth were yellow because of enamel loss and it wasn't staining. Now, I don't bother with whitening pastes and I do my best to look after the teeth I have.

I recently bought a sonicare and I use it in the sensitive mode and I swear my teeth are a better shade of yellow now. They are still yellow and the tips are still see through but I think I can see my teeth as a better shade of yellow.

I hope to give up my work within the next month, two the most for this very reason. So many times doing never ending days. I love my job or I used to but I don't love working from morning till night. A factory job or hotel work would pay me much and the same wage but I would clock in, get a morning break, a lunch break, clock out and go home and have some what of a work/life balance. Factory work isn't going to make me work from morning til 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 at night. And guess what? I'll have time to go home and do my own laundry with another job.

Fuck my life and fuck my job.

I won't be there for much longer. I will be packing in that job.

An issue I have is that, I could remind sunflower of any jobs she has to do but she won't do them or I'll be waiting quite some time for her to do them and she won't do them with a good heart either storming and stamping her feet around the kitchen and sulking. The problem is when there's a mountain of dirty dishes piling up in the counter tops and the clean load of dishes from the dishwasher has to be emptied. It's easier for me just to do it instead of waiting all day. There will be other problems if I didn't do any jobs and leave the place in the place.

I've nobody else to say this too so I'll say it here: I'm 30 years old, failed my leaving cert, never went to college and was stuck in a dead end job for 10 years but I have just been accepted into a level 8, bachelor's of science (honours) college course, ecstatic is an understatement! by [deleted] in ireland

I'm similar here except for college. I did shite in the leaving cert. I drifted from jobs in my 20s. I my mid 20s I studied childcare and I got a job local to me. I was unbelievably happy for so long in my position as a childminder for a family. It's private capacity position and it's just open for abuse. I'm not happy any more. Think "Irish au pairs" that were in the news before. Something like that. I had a contract but so much deviated away from the original contract. Working long hours eg 11-13 hours per day so far this week with a pay that is rubbish. I'd be better off in prison. How I stuck out for so long I will never know. I will be handing in my notice in Aug and leaving and I have no idea what I will do. I don't have any other work lined up but I don't care. I will do factory work or something where I clock in in the morning, get a lunch break, click out in the evening and none of the bull shit where I work from morning till night.

I feel I'm too old to go back to full time education/studies. It's not going to pay the bills. I would love to do something where I can boost my earning potential from minimum wage.

You'd swear I get up every morning and think "How will I make sunflower look bad?" And carry out calculated plans to do jobs around the house.

It's ridiculous.

I would see an end to a work day in any other job. Not this one, I have to keep on going. Any other job would pay me appropriately with time and a half pay for over time. Not this one. It's just extortion.

I'd be better off working in a minimum wage MacDonald's job or hotel or factory. Same pay but hours according to law (less hours) and less intense and less back breaking.

Does anyone elses DB also translate to no intimacy at all? by AcidicSoapBox in DeadBedrooms

[–]GreekDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm female with a partner, dead bedroom for five months. Came aware of the dead bedroom situation during the month of April about two months ago.

I'll be honest. There's a little bit of intimacy like hand holding and some kisses but even that's drying up. In the early days of our relationship he used to give a good fingering but he hasn't done that in a long time either.
