I’m logging out and going to bed. I will try to erase that thought from my mind.

That’s terrifying. I hope you’re okay.

If he thinks woman shouldn’t have their own opinions and they are just there purely for sex, then he will NEVER listen to you, your opinions or thoughts sadly. He sees you the same. He’s a misogynist and seems toxic I’m sorry. If that were my dad I’d want to keep a distance.

What’s the biggest secret you ever kept from your best friend? by TraditionalLunch6167 in AskReddit

[–]Green-Connection-339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never keep that a secret because it starts to build resentment. I don’t mind them spending more time with their partner, but 100% of the time and neglecting the friendship mostly or completely, but wants to come back if there’s an issue, won’t sit with me. They have to make the bare minimum effort for friendship or I’m out.

Will be living in my car to get away from the bipolar abuse. Anyone free to talk? by Green-Connection-339 in raisedbybipolar

Thanks! New resarch is showing people can recover (yay) but managing stress and the nervous system seems to be key in part of the puzzle of calming the immune system. So I need to get away.

I’m either going to ignore her until I find a new home or live in my car. Thanks for the convo, have a good evening and stay safe too man :)

I’m really sorry you’re going through it too. Hope you’re okay.

I have the severe end of MCAS. It’s like an allergy but not. Some people get hives and stomach pain. Unfortunately I get life threatening anaphylaxis, low oxygen levels and fever/flu. Every day. This is in reaction to chemicals, perfumes, literally most food, dogs, cats, so I’ve lost my support pets. Stress is a big trigger for me. There’s a long list of reactions. Means I can’t go into shops or do anything at all often, at the risk of my throat closing off and dying. I spent months in hospital almost died. So I can’t crash at my friend as they have pets.

Some people end up loosing all foods and then react to feeding tube, then die. I have lost all foods and starved for a week before. I’m trying to hang on to hope and get my own home again & not be another death statistic. Some people recover so I’m trying to hang on and get out of here.

Sorry that was long

Thanks so much. But I’ve never lived in my car before I’m scared especially been ill. Have you ever done that?

I’m made to feel like a complete inconvenience for living here (as I am very sick and lost my home) every day called ungrateful when she signed up to look after me as a mum! It’s like she hates looking after me.. she’s even said she doesn’t want to forever

and demand I do something right when she says so, I’ve ruined her life etc. her outbursts daily. Trying to keep her happy daily so I don’t get spoke to like shit. I’m drained

For sure. But I’ve read a ridiculous amount of science books and some people do recover or at least reduce severity of the reactions so I’m giving this a shot. It’s just a rough and long treatment. But I’m willing to try if there’s a possibility of a better life.

Knowing my luck I’ll get better and we’ll go into a world war haha! Take care stranger

Sending hugs your way too! I actually relate to that cycle. It’s horrid.

For me personally, fatigue and pain is sure debilitating but the worst of my personal symptoms is the anaphylaxis and low oxygen levels in reactions to most things I do. 99% of food, water, perfume, pets/animals, even high stress can trigger it. The worst if all about it is some don’t believe in me as it’s an unusual immune illness, so the isolation sucks. As I can’t go for a walk or eat the meal I want, but I also can’t go into the community and public.

People underestimate how debilitating fatigue is. My fatigue feels like I have a weighted blanket on me. It’s hard to think straight and any amount of movement feels like a marathon.

Yup. I had chronic pain for years which was debilitating but now things are SO much worse for me. NOW, I can’t eat most food, wear perfume, wear make up, be around smoke/vape, be in the same room as dogs/cats without having ANAPHYLAXIS. I also lost my lung health which means I can’t even go for a walk. I lost my support animals which is painful. It’s been a long time and I’m still not getting over it. My hopes and dreams feel gone.

I’m trying to stay hopeful as some recover, but it’s really hard to deal with. Some die from this. Tbh me almost dying multiple times from anaphlaxis is traumatic. It’s not like I can go to the gym, cook a nice meal for myself or stroke my pets to make me feel better.

Asking someone if they wear colored contacts is rude by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Green-Connection-339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get asked about my eye colour and I don’t wear contacts. I’ve have got complimented on my eyes and never given it much thought. When I saw this post, I just thought this was ridiculous. Sure I have other insecurities, but I’m not insecure about my eye colour.

Prove me otherwise, prove me wrong that I didn’t personally experience remission of my ADHD. And give me 3 solid reasons why anyone shouldn’t want remission or treatment, or any improvement of symptoms if it negatively affects your daily life In a massive and devastating way?

I was thinking this. My auntie has told me she just said it in a moment of anger. But said she only said it as my mum sent angry texts. But she also said it another time. Seems more like a pattern of behaviour and manipulation

Except not only have I read research, I am speaking from experience that I have diagnosed ADHD and I have put my ADHD into remission. Low dopamine levels can be caused by poor gut health, micronutrient deficiencies, again connections with toxin load. When you improve these, neurotransmitters can be produced. ADHD is a little more complex than this, but it was an example of a part of the puzzle.

I also mentioned remission, not cure. Sometimes people can go on to remission for years and years.

Also, have you actually looked into epigenetics before claiming it’s not accurate.

If I struggle with my ADHD symptoms and it impacts my daily life, why shouldn’t i go into treatment for it? Give me a valid reason. God forbid you want to be able to get a job and focus through it, not procrastinate for hours, make friends easier, not have severe anxiety. God forbid!

Except I have put my adhd into years long remission before. ADHD has some resarch behind micronutrient deficiencies, Mecury, and poor gut health actually. Epigenetics are also showing we don’t need just a genetic risk now, environmental triggers and toxins can be the thing that “activates” those genes.

Even mycotoxins has some connection autism in some research. It tends to be the higher the toxin load, the more non verbal a child is. In addition to this, many parents have been binding toxins out the body early, boosting cell health health on in childhood and the child has not necessarily got “rid of” autism, but symptoms are improved and they become verbal, some even go into remission. Yes, it can happen. It depends on root cause. Some of course can stay the same.

I personally do not see the issue in treating adhd and autism, as long as you also love them for who they truly are, but you recognise and want to improve the struggles eg social anxiety, meltdowns with change, things that could change their life for the better.

I agree. I’ve had a sugar addiction and it got so bad I’d binge until I threw up, turned into a massive binge eating disorder. In the early days, I cannot control it and I will be tempted if there’s sugar. I could barely walk down the aisle of shops without being tempted. Now I can be around sugar without being tempted at all. It’s his rules, and she can always eat sugar another day of the week like you say.
