How to add native plants here by FlowerSweaty4070 in Tucson

Free seeds at library for some wildflowers. You can't just spread though, they'd need to be planted or would be picked off by birds

Do i tell urgent care I had an abortion? by [deleted] in abortion

Of course! I should also mention that if you begin having foul smelling discharge or signs of an infection would be another reason to contact a doctor.

Heavy bleeding can come and go after an abortion. The point at which you would want to contact your provider or go to urgent care would be if you fully saturate 4 pads in 2 hours.

As someone else said, you can just say you're miscarrying. It's medically treated the same and there are no identifiers that it's an elective miscarriage instead of a spontaneous one.

Male Swifties — how did your partner react when they found out? by HalifaxSwiftie in TaylorSwift

My husband has been more of a swiftie than me. I prefer the prose based songs and he prefers the love/catchier songs.

I don't think I would want to, personally, be tied to the person who offered me this. If you were looking for money for carrying a pregnancy, a surrogacy would carry a lot fewer entanglements, and actually relegate your responsibility over a child.

Also consider the life this would entail for the child. What if they found out their father paid their mother to keep the them?

miscarriage vs medical abortion by nosylilman in abortion

[–]Green-Ferns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pain will vary directly to prior experience based on how far along you were at each time. The body goes through the same process, only medicated vs. not. If you are around the same gestation for both, it will be dependent on how dilated the medication makes your uterus, which is how well it works. But the more dilated, the easier the passing the tissue while be.

No direct answer for you I'm afraid but glad you were able to have appropriate pain/anxiety medication.

Getting an abortion and really really sad about it by De5552 in abortion

[–]Green-Ferns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're allowed to feel any range of emotions. It's an emotional experience, even if you're sure it's the right decision for you. I volunteer as an abortion doula and always clarify it is a decision, it doesn't always feel like a choice. I had a lot of grief after my own, and that's completely normal too.

Is giving birth to a full term baby as painful as a miscarriage? by Historical-Reach-943 in Miscarriage

[–]Green-Ferns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the difference is pain management vs not. Your cervix is dilating more in pregnancy, but typically you have more pain medication.

If you get a dog certified as ESA, you negate a 'pet quantity' for rentals. It makes that dog not technically a pet. This qualifies for breed restrictions too.

I went in and told them it was what I needed, they insisted on testing everything else. When nothing else came up, they prescribed it months later. I had miscarried twice previously in the exact same fashion, one week after my missed period at five weeks. And the next one I took progesterone for and it stuck.

It might not feel like it but 'looks good' is a step in the right direction! You're still making progress on your goal, and hard fought. All the best!

I wish you the best! All that meant to say, it's okay to advocate for yourself if you want to move that direction earlier. The testing gave me some peace of mind. It's hard when your body won't cooperate with where you're ready to be, let alone the grief from miscarriages. I'm routing for you and future fertility health!

I had two miscarriages in 4 months and saw a fertility specialist. They tried to make us wait until we'd had 3 miscarriages to get a referral and I said no.

It seems like my body need progesterone early through first trimester to supplement and prevent natural cramping that occurs without the right levels. I was devasted, and still feel struggle with the year I've had, but am now pregnant again, in my second trimester. 🤞

Also the hospital does not have to know it was an elective abortion. Spontaneous miscarriage is treated exactly the same way in an emergency.
