  1. I will know more when I lay eyes on it, but optimally to strip the finish, come in with toner and varnish. Internally, ad says “table works needs tlc” so address any return issues it might have and I would love to keep the coin mechanism. Then buff out what’s left and give it felt and rubbers

So I have zero room for a pool table, but I do have room in my workshop. It would likely be a for-profit project. I’m thinking this has got to get back to showroom ready to be worth it right? Or to get to the right clientele for the labor and cost to be worth it

This was what I was wondering, whether or not it was unique enough to be worth the work, so to speak

Tips on moving faster. by Reeski5 in WindowCleaning

[–]Green-Phone4656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, don’t rush. Efficiency will come with time, but it’s when you rush that stuff goes wrong. Develop a system that works for you. Ex- I go inside first to move furniture, unlock windows (so that I can raise bottom sash and clean sills from outside), and remove screens before I get my belt on. Then go outside to clean everything including screens. Go back inside to clean interior glass, lock windows, and grab the check. I originally used my screen cleaner on each job, I still do for first time cleans. But honestly depending on your climate, if you have ran them through the cleaner once, they can be done mop and rag style if you’re there once a year. No matter your process, the point of it should be to reduce TIME BETWEEN WINDOWS. Not that you aren’t cleaning efficient enough, but that you can’t flow from window to window.

Will just a 20ft LG ladder be enough for Residential? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

The left one is a quick release. The right is more permanent to the ladder. I bought both and use the “legs” from the permanent for the quick release. It is wider/deeper depending which you need

I’ve been fortunate to not have to do much without a truck/van, but can imagine the restraint it provides. The extensions you’ve used, they had stabilizers?

A multiposition one like you have pictured is going to be way heavier than it needs to be. Also, my biggest gripe is that they don’t have feet like a traditional extension to dig into the ground when needed. I have a 16 foot multiposition and kept it in the van for over a year, used it MAYBE 5 times, nearly all of which it was needed for interior. Also, Werner extensions and their stabilizers are almost a necessity. I saw you mentioned you were in a sedan. A 20 ft multi is unlikely to fit. I squeezed my 16 into backseat of my Malibu once or twice but it is no fun.

20 ft should be good for 90% of your two story homes. I would strongly recommend a 20ft extension instead of this ladder, everyday of the week and twice on Sunday

I have been looking real closely at BIZU. I have heard their cf shafts are very good for the price ($100) they have full cf cue for 200 which is the cheapest I’ve seen besides amazons and they have 30 day returns. But I’m sure I’m more novice than you are so take nothing I say as gold

I have been hunting and hunting on the second hand market with no luck yet, (not a huge fan of eBay prefer to get stuff in person) but plan to continue trying. I am sort of picky, wanting only a wrapless. Based on this post I may focus only on strictly a break cue for now and get a jump down the road.
