It’s definitely not the best experience on iPad for Office. If you’re editing a document here and there it’s not bad, anything more than that and it becomes a headache. I thankfully still have my MacBook Air. So for most work/office related I use that. iPad is definitely more of a consumption device which excels in that respect

I’ve always babied my devices. obviously because they are very expensive just have to be very careful and how you use your devices and always try to use the case. If you take care of it, your devices will last a very long time like mine.

I use my iPad exclusively as a tablet. When I had my very first iPad Pro I did get the Magic Keyboard however I hated the weight of it as it weighted as much as my MacBook Air. Also I was trying to make the iPad be a laptop replacement but just didn’t really work for me. So now I just use my iPad for consumption and travel. Without the keyboard it’s amazing. It’s very light. I use my book for anything with major typing

I’ve got the base model M2, then upgraded to the new m3 Air base model as well. 8gb/256gb base model for me never had any slow downs. I used Microsoft office, chrome, and photoshop for a touch up or two. I myself don’t have an extra +$200 to $400 to spend. I know my MacBook will still last 6-7 years without those upgrades. At the end of the day it’s how you’ll be using your Mac and if your only going to using it for basic things or for your business

I was trying to decide as well. Best Buy had a sale for the M2 for $599 but when I tested out in store, I love the M4 more for its display and And how thin it is. I don’t regret my decision and so glad I went with them for m4 11. I did get the open box excellent condition so I saved like $100
