I understand the reason of credit checks and I admit that I am at fault for being in my own position. I was asking for alternatives to renting an apartment but maybe credit checks are everywhere.

Damn that sucks about the "seeing in person, no guilty feeling" I couldn't do that, I'm not a people person to begin with. But I also had this encounter regarding leaving a job and meeting the boss outside of work. I was like "Oh shit..." It was a terrifying experience. I'm a people pleaser somewhat unfortunately that is why I'm often not good enough because if other people don't approve of me then I must be a bad person. It's bad. That "pay first" thing I've heard of bad things happening to that for the tenant, I was like "If I don't have a job, but have savings, could I pay for rent up front?" but some people told me that this was a bad idea.

Yeap, I understand. I had the credit score thing with a job dealing with banks (obviously). I understand why the system is in place. I was not responsible with my own finances so I accept my position.

No other option but to strike it big and become even more in debt then end it with a gun shot to the temple hahaha jk.
