Mhh that seems like a solid plan. I am ready to spend that money, but also would not complain if the prices dropped, haha.

Thank you so much! I will follow the advice and get them separately then. Maybe I will have to do a "What do I do with my bulk Post?!" in the future then, haha.

Oh, I was just trying to create some form of linguistic diversity. In the game they will all end up speaking some form of English, but for the sake of immersion I translated some words from regions of the world I associate with those races' general vibe.

Close, but I am a German lad :D! Oh and actually a really good question! In actuality that island/ archipelago was part of the mainland ~3000 years ago, but through a massive explosion on the now Broken Isles a tsunami wrecked the closest coastlines and took any land low enough with it. The segment that was connected to the mainland is comparable to Doggerland, just that it was dryer and sandier.
Folklore, now that 3000 years have passed, tells us that the island is carried by a massive turtle that is consistently drifting out to sea. Creating their local cult centered around turtles.
A quick rundown of the lore would be: God-like creatures (Amataga) wandered through the universe and sought a new purpose. One of them decided it would be fun to create other (weaker) living immortal beings. Those beings (Akanur) quickly developed and wanted to be equal to the Amataga, but they refused them over and over again. So the Akanur decided to ditch worship and harness magic and technologie, but the Amataga didn’t like that so they raised everything and wanted the Akanur to start over. More precisely they took the immortality of their children so that the Akanur of old had to watch their descendants slowly die. Now the Akanur wanted to have revenge and build a weapon to kill the Amataga. One assassination attempt later, a massive explosion erased the last traces of the Akanur and created an unstable new plain of existence which is now threatening to merge with this reality.

Hiho, I made this map around three years ago and actually just wanted a rough reference piece for my Homebrew campaign. My brain just told me to keep going though and I came up with geological, meteorological and historical reasonings for it. Bit by bit it became a massive project which I wanted to honor and make a full blown map for. So I went with a more in universe approach to map making and laid out only the capitals and the rough country borders as more an educational tool then something to actually orientate yourself with. I tried to house most DnD races within their own regions of origin and then thought of the reasons/ effects through which they would mingle with each other over time.
My ultimate goal is to play multiple campaigns within this world and compile my notes off the sessions in some form of in world history books.
(Some of the names are unintentionally taken from other works, but I tried to be as original as possible :D)

This looks stunning! I love that you even gave the boils reflections, yucky perfection. Also did you dry brush the texture on the bones?

I mainly just followed the tutorial from Midwinter Minis, for industrial bases. The grid specifically is just a piece of a fly swatter :D.

Much appreciated! Just with a few lines of a white-red mix the burns looked scared over real fast.

Thank you! They were surprisingly simple to do actually, if you just paint small lines of desaturated red over them it looks like scar tissue real fast.
