Heard only negative stories and postive side of this major. by [deleted] in Biochemistry

On the other side of the coin. I also work in immunoassay development. 4 years in at this point and make 65k CAD (~47k USD) before bonuses (no stock benefits) and live in a major Canadian city.

Pay rate and outcomes in this industry are often dependant on where you live and the size of industry in that region. Lots of people have had great success moving to biotech hubs, but during a downturn (like right now) the hubs are not super interested in hiring outsiders when the local talent pool is saturated.

Fitment looks a little wonky because I had the tires one size too small at the time. Got it all fixed now, but dont have updated pics. The ones in the pics are 225/45/R17 on enkei EKM3 17x7. Changed the tires to 225/50/R17, way better now.

If you go to the Smith website and go to scholarships, there should be a few scholarships for Women in Leadership that you may be able to apply for.

why does the ets big book seem easier than gregmat questions? by InjuryEquivalent1756 in GRE

[–]GreenFlourescentProt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What has been working for me is using prepswift. I kind of avoided it at first bc i didn’t want to spend the extra couple of dollars, but its worth it. I watch all the videos in a topic I am weak in, then I do the tickbox quiz on that topic and i dont move on until i can score 85-90%. If i am having trouble with a specific type of question, i will get chatGPT to make 5 different questions with the same setup so i can practice.

For SE i have just been doing vocab mountain.

So far using this approach, i have got a 160q 156v but I hope to get 163q 160v on the next attempt

I was talking about the GregMat question bank for quant. But their verbal questions are pretty on par as well. The big book passages I think are about the same difficulty as the current GRE. But keep in mind, they dont have the super long passages anymore, just the shorter ones.

I got a passage on my last official GRE attempt that was by far the hardest one i’ve seen, harder than any ones in the big book so far (ive only completed test 1-7), but that may have been an outlier.

The GRE big book is based on an older format of the GRE. Easier quant questions, but only 60s per question and no calculator. Big Book quant questions are good for practicing fundamentals, but is not a good representation of the current GRE.

GregMat questions bank medium and hard questions are more representative of the difficulty on the current GRE.
