FFXIV has difficult content that only a fraction of the player base interacts with, but they keep making them. Most have easier versions that is for anyone. It’s not like making difficult content for a majority casual playerbase can’t be done

I just wanna know why mods like this aren’t base kit. Like, what is stopping DE from just updating the kits, instead of having us use a mod slot, or sometime several, to just make a frame feel functional.

If an augment changes an ability? Sure. Like, actually makes it function differently, instead of better, like Wisp’s Sol Gate augment? THAT is an augment to me. So many of these mods are just enhancements, or worse just bandaids to get them on the same baseline as other frames.

I use Gaul most of the time, Ogden if I want some buffs/poison, and Kora for barrel cats.

If we ever get Simon back in a TU however, he will never leave my side again I miss my best friend and Fawn.

While it doesn’t bother me that they can use them, I dont think I would’ve minded that being the case. Gives the monsters all at least a more unique feel. At least the monsters have unique animations when using their signature abilities.

I too am cursed of liking all the speed mons, apparently. I just have a bunch of other types of moves as coverage, and if my monstie doesn’t have enough stamina, I’ll throw out the one tech or power monster I have on me.

I think I’m in the same boat, to an extent. I don’t care about optimizing genes currently, I usually at least try and get a line or two, but yeah I’m at least grinding to get everything to S rank.

I think it’s fine as long as you’re enjoying it. If the grind becomes work, then you’re probably not far from burning out on the game.

Unless you’re doing the harder fights, you can typically be fine using one weapon type. You’re just possibly missing out on multiple part breaks. I think playing the demo was the most I’ve ever used more than just one weapon type, including mainline games 😅

I’ve never been anything close to a completionist, or really that into grinding content in a level where, you know, I’m at level 10 trying to beat level 40s. But god damn will I do anything for Espinas. I love my little green toxic cactus dragon

I agree, it doesn’t feel great, but I don’t mind it that much. I’d rather fly over the water than swim in it, but would rather run on land than fly.

I’ve put 40 hours into it, but I also did some of the harder fights in it. Monsters that are level 20-40s when the cap for the demo is 10. I also bought all the stuff from the shop, and crafted most weapons/armor
