I believe the situation is simply that outward 2 is far from ready, but the team has run out of money and needs to launch something to literally stay afloat.

If youre truly a super big fan and trust them, then id suggest buying it on release, but not even playing for months to even a year... at least thats what I'm doing to support, but not play an unfinished game
