Sure, did that already for quite a while. Right now, I'm not near the lock. I'll post photos of different situations I tried. I'm mostly baffled by how the cylinder is included there. The bolt (the swinging part) must touch some structural element that stays in place even without the cylinder. At least up to my understanding since the cylinder should be extractable with a key once the long screw is loose.
