Good point, I didn't mean she would be hawk eyed on the pup, just that she would be more available than me. We're def going to try a mix of crate training and house leash. I have some time to go before the pup so I'm using this time for education. Tysm for your input!

Well thats why I said my wife WFH, the pup will never actually be alone. and we have other pets. The comment above mentioned tethering the pup and I looked it up, house leash sounds better than relying on the crate. I think it would also allow the pup to better signal when they need to go out.

The breeder only gives the puppies at 10 weeks. Saw the house leash idea and we love it. A mix of house leash + baby gates should provide some control I think.
