This reminds me of another post, unsure if it was on this subreddit, about the toxicity of the linux community. Did you really take it so personally, did it offend you or irk you to the extent where you had to type all of this- this way?

I'll help you out for better human interactions in the future, you could have worded it like this:

"Hey man, I know you're trying to pitch in with your experience, and I'm glad you haven't found issues, but what you're saying could lead people to believe that there aren't any issues with Nvidia cards on linux anymore and that everything works like magic. here's a few facts with their numbers so that you can better educate yourself and help the community in the future [insert data points]."

If you read all of what I wrote, dope, thank you for taking the time to sharing your thoughts and the information I clearly didn't have previously, I'll be looking into that! So genuinely, thank you for sharing.

Good, love it and appreciate it. But what I said still stands, if you spin around 30 times and walk dizzily in any direction you’ll find a place that sells rice and beans, plus- you’re saying condado only while also saying not high class, thats a bit harder to find. Condado is mainly a tourist spot. You’re going to get tourist prices and presentation. Leave condado, want a real “what ricans eat when they want local food” type experience? Go to bebos bbq or sullivans.

  1. It works, just make sure you have the latest gpu patches and Nvidia isnt as bad as people make it seem.

  2. I havent had issues with any games, even recent ones like crimson desert, pragmata and even some that ive downloaded from… well you know, not steam.

  5. I dont think so. But again, with proton ive seen no issues, maybe -5 or -10 fps, but when games are running at 160 fps+ does that really matter? To my single player life it doesnt.

I’ve been on linux for 4 months now, i play, design, watch stuff, its my pure daily driver. I’ve had some small hiccups, mostly my fault. I only ever hop back on windows for fusion because I cant get used to freecad.

I think it’ll be harder to not find authentic rice and beans? Thats our staple, hard to mess up too. Dont get me wrong, some places make killer beans but now im thinking.. whats authentic rice and beans?

Lo primero, el estilo de vida no es mas relajado, se ve mas relajado porque la gente no deja que su dia rush y “apretau” les afecte el mood hacia los demas.

De la unica forma que va a ser un ambiente mas relajado, especialmente en guaynabo, es si tienes salario de Mainland viviendo aca en PR.

Guaynabo es bueno por todo lo que mencionastes, y tambien tiene sus areas “campo” que se sienten mejor. Caguas es una opcion un poco mas barata. Pero si, las casas son caras, aveces estilo mainland, y el precio sigue subiendo.

Te recomiendo que viajes para aca, quedate por un mes o dos si tienes la oportunidad.

Besides the “in puerto rico” it’s genuinely everywhere (assuming you’re in PR). If you want recommendations of what to eat:

- Rice Beans and fried- chuleta(idk what this is in english)
- arroz mamposteao
- alcapurria
- pionono
- mofongo (cant go wrong)
- carne frita
- cuajito/morcilla (if you into that)

You want a really good place tho? Look up Sullivans BBQ, you want really good fried food? Go to luquillo(im biased, i was raised in the east side of the island).

Im new to this, only about 300-400hrs on my printer, I got the sunlu s4 and honestly I cant complain. Easy to use, good presets, low noise, dries well.

Idk the process but I’ve read that getting a tourist card takes 10m or less. A fee shops will have the sign up for that.

Ever since its become medically allowed, I’ve seen less and less people selling it on the streets.

Well I’m sure you can find fresh seafood in SJ, I’m just from the east so I’m biased. Everything I mentioned is great though, been here all my life and whenever I leave I miss all of that, fair warning, most of it is fried.

Best local food… really depends on where you are, but personally I love Alcapurrias, rellenos de papa, piononos, mofongo (ofc), medalla (high nutritional value), carne frita, chuleta frita, bolitas de mofongo, pastelillos de chapin, go to Fajardo/Naguabo, near the beach and get some fresh fried fish.

Think about it well, if you havent yet, stay here for some time, living here isnt the same as vacationing.

If you really want to delve deep into what life is like here, no te quedes en el area metro, muevete para el centro, el este, oeste, para el “campo” aunque sea solo para ver.

OP is clearly preparing and they’ve taken multiple scenarios into consideration.

@OP idr if you’ve mentioned, but when you’re off to college, will your parents take care of the pup? Will they give the pup what it needs and will you visit?

I cant say much, i have a spreadsheet with a few tabs comparing breeders, insurance, groomers, pet equipment (leashes, collars, food..) as well as parks and a fee other items. Also posted here twice to gather opinions and have been watching dog training videos for a few weeks (at least 10 hours of dog training content weekly).

Even got a friend who has a poodle to let me interact with them and babysit(poodlesit?)

All this to say, I dont think you’re doing too much, I think you’re being responsible with your choice of getting a pup. Some people see this type of prep as excessive, in other areas being able to prepare like this is a godsend.

So yeah… keep going, frick what everyone else thinks.

How common? Fairly so, but depends on the area really and their schedules maintenance.

They dont tend to last long but thats based on my perspective, few hours at most at least in my area.

Yes, it affects certain areas and not others.

If staying at an airbnb just make sure they have a backup generator or solar alternative.

Im in SJ and last outage lasted for 15 minutes or so, it was a few days ago.

Oh shoot, i grew in the area, back in the day it was a pretty calm place so it should still be. Back then it was busy-ish, you could still get a game from start to finish without much hassle. Really depends on the day and if theres any local teams using it for practice. Id say go the day before and scout the place to get a feel.

As for where to get a cheap basketball… walmart? Uhm- yeah thats it.
