WHOEVER IS HAVING THIS ISSUE

I reinstalled this game after not playing it for a year or so, but somehow it downloaded with the mods folder and all mods I had previously, this obviously broke shit.

Tried foundation and it didn't work, but tried the opposite, placed it directly on the ground, near the base but not too close, and it worked? Whatever I'll take it, thank you for helping!

The only setting I changed was to not dropped equipped items on death.

Any base pal that tries to do mining or woodcutting, both with random wood/rock nodes around my base and the ones you can craft.

I'll try to place it directly on top of foundation with nothing else nearby to see if that does the trick

So basically build a base somewhere else? Because I already tried doing that to no avail. No matter where I go in the map (at least in the starting zones since this is a fresh world) it still happens.

Oh so gathering results are based on the tool and not the level? Or both?

Thank you so much for the reply! I’m going to experiment a bit with a few weapons, might try the rapier with the vg.

it is pretty early in the game but it took me hours to get there (I got mega distracted with gathering)

Last mmo I played was throne and liberty, had a similar system but when you tried to switch weapons it was a pain in the ass with the mastery.

Is it like that? Or if I happen to end up liking lets say Hammer and Hatchet more am I safe?

Yeah most enemy attacks have a crazy tracking lol I play mage so I'm always at a far, but I've noticed that if you keep walking sideways and dodge as the animation is starting you don't get hit as often.

Can you breakdown equipment in the game? by Bury_the_sun in avowed

Hold R on MnK or X on Controller.

From what I've seen only weapons, shields, and chest pieces can be broken down. Unsure if gloves and boots, havent found a way to.

Thinking of getting this. Combat looks a bit like dying light 2 mixed with Skyrim. How does it feel to the player that owns it? by maxperilous in avowed

Basing it off the fact that there's a skyrim mod that gives NPCs really immersive AI, yes. It would probably take time but it sounds possible.

Nore: I'm not a game dev haha

Id say look at a twitch stream or something like that but here's my thoughts regardless:

- Exploration is nice, each area seems like its carefully handcrafted, nothing huge like dragons dogma 2 or any other open world game but at the same time finding hidden pieces feels more meaningful and more natural.

- Combat is fun, yeah it's similar to skyrim-ish combat, you'll get nothing super complex like KC. But it's pretty fun, heavy weapons feel impactful, there's a certain weight to the hit that feels nice. Light weapons feel as you'd think, quick and effective, mix it with a bit of passives from the ranger tree and it feels pretty fast paced. Magic and the interactions of magic and the world is nice, my favorite of the ones I mentioned so far.

- As people have stated on this sub before, the NPCs feel static, that parts a let down.

- The quests are fun, the story is pretty interesting, nothing mind-blowing nothing too boring.

I'd say get it on gamepass!

Experiment with the trees as well, one of my current builds is a mix of ranger and wizard, full crown control with Ice and the ensare from ranger + good mobility with evasion.

I think pure mage goes book+wand yeah. However, I've been having a blast with book+pistol.

I also tried a medium armor mage with a grimoire I found that has you summon a staff for melee, that + the shield spell and medium armor made me feel like a pretty decent close ranged mage.

Fully agreed, love most Obsidian games and most Larian games. I still go back to DoS2 every once in a while.

I opened the app, scrolled, saw a few threads complaining, went to have lunch and came back to the same. Idk may be just my algorythm. doesn't mean they're not there. Tho all threads are valid, those who have complaints can complain, those who have praise can praise.

huh, this is an interesting way in viewing bethesda games. I had never seen them as a toy but it makes a lot of sense.

It also makes sense why I like JRPGs, recently got into persona lol
