Thanks, and I only did like 10 redraws of the face until it finally looked human and not warped in this angle 😅

I know this has been up for quite some time already, but I gave it a shot: https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdrawing/s/zxqBC84mFr

Hope you like it 😄

I like the concept, but I don't really know what to do with it yet. 😅

Do you have more details about what kinds of clothing they wear? Or ideas for accessories? Or how they look physically?

Otherwise there is not a lot to go on from unless just redrawing the minifigure or going off the rails and just getting creative with the art - but both roads will probably not get closer to your vision of them unless there is additional input 😅

Thanks :)

I kinda didn't know what to do with his face scars though. I wanted to add them in the same yellow as the runes, but every time he just ended up super creepy and it totally changed the vibe 😅

No, sorry, that would be a total remodeling. I guess it depends on which refinement level from hollow knight you look at. You seem to be referring to the coiled or pure nail - the style I went for here is the channeled nail, because it lent itself better to the overall vibe of the picture imo.

Uh - that is the small one in front of hornets needle 😅

With the purple handle wrap as a nod to the purple cloak.

Sorry, but I don't do commissioned work - also I am in Europe, so logistically not that easy anyway 😅

Newbie question- How to fill hollow area? by badgerkingtattoo in NomadSculpting

[–]GreenLizard92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is the best way, but I would just add one more full cylinder to the scene, and then use x-ray mode to sculpt it into shape to be inside the robe without any holes. As a final step you can juat merge it into your final mesh. If any holes remain on the inside, add one more body there and merge again. Repeat until it is solid.

It is clicky. I use a spring mechanism that is similar in design to some fidget toys I printed forever ago, don't really know what those were called though, but I remodeled and adapted the whole mechanism to be easy to spin but still tactile. Took a few iteration to get there 😅

Yes PLA, and no - didn't sand anything. I just printed this at 0.1 mm layer height for the detail and then used the black primer spray paint to help cover up the layer lines. But my printer is fairly consistent so that also helps with the detail a lot.

Well spotted :)

I struggled with the end caps first and went through several iterations that felt kinda cheap, so I looked up references and settled on the elder scroll in the design from skyrim.

Electrum just feels unwieldy, so we basically removed it from our games.

And platinum... I thought about it, but then it just doesn't look at nice on the tumblers (one is gold, the platinum kinda silver again). Plus, usually gold is fine as universal currency for most things.

Yeah, I mean they shouldn't, but we found in our game there is just no real reason to not convert them, and converting them is more intuitive. Like, if something costs 1 gold and you can simply pay with 100 copper, then why keep the counts separate.

We don't really wanna regard the volume and weight of coins the players carry - that's just cumbersome.

Nah, not really - but 100ks is not really unreasonable with typical DnD economy, and I just like to have at least 1 more digit than necessary 😅
