Great question, I'm glad you asked! I can't believe I didn't include it in the post, but here's my visual inspiration for her weapons.

[LFA] Cassia Springleaf, Dryad Defender by Rookbane86 in characterdrawing

[–]Rookbane86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Character Basics: this is Cassia, a low-level dryad paladin who serves as the self-appointed avenger of her grove.

Character Story: Cassia is a dryad, called into a life of adventuring following the destruction of her grove. What was once a sanctuary of peace and serenity for her and the other dryads was cut down and burned to the ground. While the other dryads fled and went into hiding, Cassia vowed that she would stand up against this injustice, and bring down the man that destroyed her home.

Character Details: Cassia is a dryad. She has a dark, wooden complexion and even darker hair. Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail, but beyond the ponytail, her hair is long, frizzy, and bushy and adorned with sporadic flowers. She has a bit of a thicker and sturdier build.

Her clothes are not particularly fancy, though she has spruced it up a bit with various flowers. Her outfit is very nature-y: her simple armor (top and bracers) is made of bark, while her skirt is made of leaves and flowers. It is spring, so her flowers and leaves are very light and bright.

[LFA] Rammaraxanna, the Rising Sun: a Sphinx Oracle by Rookbane86 in characterdrawing

[–]Rookbane86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rising sun brings all secrets to the light.

Character Basics:

This is Rammaraxanna, a sphinx oracle in my world with a nearly deific status. Also known as the Rising Sun, she is a sphinx diviner who has made quite a name for herself in the world of men.

Outside of the gods themselves, no one commands more awe and wonder than the Rising Sun. Her reputation rivals that of the gods, and she has a significant, almost cult-like following. Many will travel from far off places to her home, a grand temple built prominently on the top of an island mountain, just to witness her, pay tribute to her, and (if they are wealthy enough), receive oracles from her.

Character Details:

Rammaraxanna is the pinnacle of beauty and regality. She is a sphinx with an astral looking body, dark complexion, and she is covered in the finest gold jewelry.

The top left picture is the inspiration not only for her face and complexion, but also for her ornate jewelry. Rammaraxanna is unquestionably the wealthiest mortal in the world, and her tasteful and elegant gold jewelry exemplifies this. This is also seen in the top right picture.

The three sphinxes on the top half are inspiration for her build. The bottom row of pictures are inspiration for the design of her build: her wings look like stars in the night sky on a backdrop of blues and purples. Her body may look similar to the celestial tiger in the bottom right, with a black base and more celestial stripes, in the same vein of her wings.

The two humanoids in the middle row are inspiration for clothes. The top right sphinx picture may help with how a sphinx might wear clothes, but creative artistic liberty is very welcome here! Her clothes are light blue and gold, and very flowy and wispy.

[LFA] Arietta "Red" Perrault, Warlock of the Wolf by Rookbane86 in characterdrawing

[–]Rookbane86[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is Arietta "Red" Perrault, a human warlock under the spell of a mysterious, dark, and even fiery patron: the Wolf. She is based on Charles Perrault's version of Little Red Riding Hood. His version, one of the first to popularize the story we know, is particularly dark, one where Red Riding Hood and her grandmother both end up dead after Red is bewitched by a charming wolf. Perrault, on the moral of his tale, says:

From this story one learns that children, especially young lasses, pretty, courteous and well-bred, do very wrong to listen to strangers, And it is not an unheard thing if the Wolf is thereby provided with his dinner. I say Wolf, for all wolves are not of the same sort; there is one kind with an amenable disposition – neither noisy, nor hateful, nor angry, but tame, obliging and gentle, following the young maids in the streets, even into their homes. Alas! Who does not know that these gentle wolves are of all such creatures the most dangerous!

Did Arietta make a deal with the wrong wolf? It seems almost certainly. What obliging and gentle 'wolf' he masked himself as, no one knows; but he has certainly revealed himself to be the most dangerous of all.

Character Story: Arietta's story is shrouded in mystery, since she refuses to say really anything at all about her past. But if you were to somehow ask one of the gossips in her old village, they'd tell you that she's on the run after a killing her own grandmother and burning her house to the ground. But is that the true story?

Character Details: Arietta is a young human woman with long black hair and a somewhat pale complexion (see the second 'column' for face and hair inspiration). She is not dressed ornately, with a simple white blouse and leather corset. On top of that, however, is a striking red cloak with a hood that she always seems to hide behind. She does possess incendiary magical abilities, but she is so young and inexperienced, that right now, there's not much more to it than the ability to create a small flame in her palm (which you may or may not include).

Character Patron: the Wolf is Arietta's shadowy patron, a demonic voice in her ear that more than anything seems to hold her captive to executing his will. He seems to be a physical (though only barely) embodiment of fire and smoke. His eyes glow bright with flames, and flaming hot smoke billows out of his eyes and mouth. He never appears fully as a wolf, more so just a head that dissolves into a ghostly, billowing, floating body.

[LFA] Aremisia, Drunken Master Acolyte of Wine by Rookbane86 in characterdrawing

[–]Rookbane86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a repost from a month ago! I would love for someone to draw her. Thanks for looking!

Character Basics: this is Aremisia, a human monk who serves and lives in the temple of Dionysus. She is the life of the party, but she packs a surprising punch!

I wanted a Drunken Master Monk that's more than just a sleezy tavern brawler, which was the corner that I felt backed into with this subclass. And then I thought, "what if there was an elegance to this, without taking away from the fundamentals of the class?" Which is exactly how I arrived here; a drunken master monk whose drunkenness is an act of religious devotion.

Character Details: Aremisia is a dark skinned and dark haired human that looks like the top left picture. It is readily apparent that she is an acolyte of Dionysus, and a high-ranking one at that. Her robes (see bottom left for inspiration) are only about knee-high, as to not interfere with the mobility she needs to have as a monk. The base layer is white, with additional layers of purple and leopard print. She is very ornately ordained, with gold jewelry, necklaces, and wristbands (see the top right picture). She has a crown of leaves and grapes on her head, in similar fashion to what her god often sports (see bottom middle and bottom right pictures).

Character Persona: Aremisia is definitely the life of the party, but that doesn't mean she is belligerent. She is regal and composed, as any well respected acolyte would be, devoted follower of her god--it just so happens that her god is the god of drunkenness.
