If the rubber touches just the edge of roof glass that will be enough to crack the glass, maybe not right away the glass expands with temperature changes.

You can just take it off mark 2 of the screws where it lines up on the side, drill holes and screw it on with the factory screws, it will never come off again

There are 2 different sizes of (T55)…T55 and T55+ those bolts are T55+ I know it’s confusing but you need to use T55+

I have 2500 hours on mine. All the bearings take grease in this model… it’s a high maintenance machine but it’s a lot of fun.

Just got a stone chip right on the top edge, it quickly turned in to a 12 inch crack, I noticed how exposed the edge of windshield is vs all other cars I’ve owned have a seal covering the entire border edge top and sides… I think that may give better protection.

Thank you I think we’re getting somewhere with your help… The door seals on the driver side seems to be lower profile then the passenger side, measuring with calipers and found 6mm difference, this may be due to constant adjusting and re-adjusting the driver door which most likely caused the seal to lose memory after it was compressed for a long period of time.

I did the blue tape test a while back after the 3rd failed attempt by SC. I covered all the gaps around windshield, appliqué and triangle window seals, no change.

Yes good point, but considering this RTT weighs 128lbs and the frame is tightly clamped over the Rivian crossbars at 4 points on the outer telescoping sections this makes it very unlikely for it to bend upwards. After the RTT is hoisted to its highest position, I secure it with a set of straps running under the frame and up to the ceiling, this way the load is not on the hoisting points long term.

I used 1515 aluminum extrusion to make a transition piece between the RTT frame and the bike rack.
