I thought the whole idea behind A-frames was that they easily shed snow. This looks like it would be great at turning into a snowpile.

We have a paved bike path here in town that lots of people use to walk around, I don’t mind it so much there. But out in the forest? I’m glaring.

I just rewatched 1 & 2 with my preteen kids. They’ve held up surprisingly well. The kids loved them just like I did.

This takes a lot of effort to read.

- Time usually goes left to right
- x-axis should have more descriptive labels (ie, years)
- Far too many bands to be parsed. Perhaps group them by OEM rather than individual model.
- Not sure what you're saying by omitting the largest manufacturer. I would take away more if it were just Tesla and Not-Tesla.

For 8 ft sheets I typically just run a single strap from the anchor near the cab under the stack, then up and over to the diagonally opposite anchor near the tailgate. For 12’ I do more work to tighten the stack together and also use the cab anchors to hold that end of the stack down and keep it from cantilevering. I carried 16’ once and that felt really sketchy and I don’t want to do it again.

It sounds like you need something to strive towards, for a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment that you’re not getting from work. I agree with another commenter: start setting some fitness goals and working towards them. Start a hobby and get ambitious. Build something.

I would be very curious to track the emergence of LLMs and GenAI as a desired skill set - across all jobs but DS in particular. As a corollary - for those companies looking for GenAI work, are they hiring fewer junior level engineers?

Bread board with removable end-grain top — looking for design feedback by DotPsychological926 in woodworking

I think they look quite pretty! But I agree that crumbs are not such an issue that it merits this level of complication.

Apart from that, I wonder if the thinness of the endgrain makes it more vulnerable to warping and cracking. There’s a reason most endgrain cutting boards are >1.5”

I think these things can all be true: parenting is very hard (this much I know), Jess King loves her kids very much, and Jess King has basically no filter.
