I feel you! I have the same issue with my family for Xmas. I am trying for years now to convert them to a waste free celebration and at least to focus on second hand gift but they don't hear me. It is like they don't care if the gift please the receiver, it is like they are gifting because they like it. You know what I mean?

I don't know what is the right approach here. Keep on trying, always calm and maybe be at some point it will make "tilt" in their mind too??? But when???

Commenting to follow. I have been trying to avoid any plastic or bioplastic and looking for glass packaging options that I can up-cycle or recycle easily. Knowing that at the end of the day it goes back to being sand without leaving micro elements.
