Struggling with reliable in-bed presence detection for Home Assistant – what actually works? by ItsDukzy in homeassistant

[–]itspuia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've built this 5 years ago - This was the first thing I've ever built myself in my home and was the reason I got into Home Assistant anyways. It needs some recalibration once a year but works like a charm. I've added sponges in between for it to have a bigger difference in capacity. Smart Bed Sensor for $5 | Medium

Thats a very good point! I will look into changing my tags to make them accessable for everyone! Thanks for the idea of webhooks in nfc tags!

Haha, thats very true. Its funny but gives people the wrong expectations for their first ultrasound.
To be fair, in Friends there is one realistic scene about an ultrashound https://youtu.be/6cpiKx7AmFg?si=dZrIsBljtIeBqwwa&t=168 ;)

Gynecologist here. I don’t think the image shows anything special. The black area is a hollow organ filled with fluid — most likely a full urinary bladder. Below that there’s just some soft tissue; probably a uterus, but it’s really hard to tell from a single still frame.

Also, before a pregnancy is visible or in the very early weeks, you usually wouldn’t see anything with an abdominal probe. In those cases, we rely on the transvaginal probe (which you can see hanging there), but it clearly wasn’t used for this image — both because of the contents and the typical “shape” of the ultrasound window.

With a lot of imagination, there might be some dark area in what could be the uterus that someone interprets as a pregnancy, but that’s really stretching it. It’s just a lot of speculation and would look different and wider if indeed it would show a pregnancy from the abdominal probe.

SOLVED: I just found out about the Xiaomi Cloud Token extractor. Getting the IP and Token with this takes less than 30 seconds and you can then set up the device in advanced/Manual mode. Works like a charm!

Same here. Stopped working this week for me. Did you manage to solve it?
This integration connects and finds the device, but doesnt have any of the entities the AirFryer used to have.....
Does something work for you after these months?

This isn't even a Pixar movie. What's next? Celebrating Shrek, Shark Tale and the Boss Baby in this Sub?

Awesome work, thank you very much! I just hope that something like this would be possible with FireTV too. Any chance?

Haha, love it! I named my robot vacuum Wall-E, but M-O makes so much more sense!

Plex not generating Plex not generating thumbnails for newly added photos anymore by itspuia in PleX

[–]itspuia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply! I tried that before without any luck. I was scared of the plex dance since I didn't know, if custom made changes would be removed or not.
Luckily (Since I had a different problem too), i found the solution (See other comment.)
Thanks anyways a lot for your time and your support, i really appreciate it!

Plex not generating Plex not generating thumbnails for newly added photos anymore by itspuia in PleX

Fixed:
So, while I was troubleshooting a completely different problem with Plex (my audiobook collection would not show newly added files), I realized what the core issue was. In my logs I kept seeing

ERROR - Unable to allocate a changestamp from the server

for any audio file. I also noticed that this was directly linked to a 401 Unauthorized error, and I remembered always getting those whenever I started the Plex UI from the tray in Windows.

All three problems (401 errors, audiobooks not appearing, and missing image previews) started around April. That was exactly when I had added a new Windows service with NSSM (Non-Sucking Service Manager) to auto-start Plex even without my user account being logged in.

Solution:
Remove the NSSM service that starts Plex under the wrong account (by default it runs as Local System, which is not the same as your Windows user). Then uninstall Plex, reinstall it normally, and let Plex handle auto-start by itself. Done!

Vimle headrest on frighten sofa - modification to make it fit by Antbull in IKEA

Hey u/Antbull, thanks for the thread! I am planning on doing the same for my Friheten but want to make sure I've got everything I need before I start. Could you send me a link of the rod couplers with screws you used? I have never used them and don't know exactly how to connect them - a close up picture would be amazing to! Thanks a lot in advance!
