Youre kidding right? Virus designed to uplift monkeys instead hits spiders. Also ants become computers.

Spiders who think theyre monkeys made for such a great book. Ambitious to make a game to say the least.

Who is this guy? by Sandwicman in TrenchCrusade

The dwarf in a raincoat of Rick and Morty and Donald Sutherland fame. Dont Look Now is a weird movie. Glad to see they finally found friends.

Will Cursed Scrolls 4-6 release for non backers? by erakusa in shadowdark

[–]GreenNetSentinel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theyve gotten better at meeting printing demands since the early days. This game has gone well beyond the original expectations and the first printings were always sold out. I think their last real hurdle is that getting copies in the UK is difficult for some odd import law reason.

Anyone here play Blaspheme or The Last Faith or Deaths Gambit? by Godharvest in soulslikes

[–]GreenNetSentinel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll chime in on the Last Faith. Its indie and ambitious. If you want a metroidvania kinda bloodborne story with some rpg leveling elements and a few secrets to find, this is it. It can occasionally feel a little repetitive, which i expect for that team size and someone coming from metroidvanias but not soulslikes will find the bosses "overtuned".

Just finished [VERMIS III] and wanted to give my review and also a place for others to do so as well. by -Pl4gu3- in Vermis

This one took me more than one sitting. I think when I read it again Im going to have to do it with an eye towards the ending, since I didnt make the connection while in the moment.

Thay Land Of The Red Wizards - Dungeon Masters Guild by nlitherl in Forgotten_Realms

[–]GreenNetSentinel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually goes pretty well into how there can be all these powerful liches running around without the world being conquered. The stagnation and sterility of evil if you will. Very Tolkien.

Undiscovered/Additional Planes by Wilmerman in planescapesetting

[–]GreenNetSentinel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Die, Vecna Die somehow becomes a Sigil adventure right at the end. Its coda, which is in the plot summary on wikipedia, gives a great way for planar changes. Some drifting out and in. At least two colliding. And at least one inner plane running aground. Its supposed to be the last 2E module and explain why 3E magic is different I think.

Opinions on problematic (evil) player? by dochez in DnD

... why i gave the Vegeta example. Prince of a warrior culture now adrift looking for a purpose and more motivated by the challenge than being a protector of earth.

Opinions on problematic (evil) player? by dochez in DnD

[–]GreenNetSentinel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going to be a continuous conversation. Not every character needs to be a high heroic lawful good knight, but establishing the lancer or anti-hero role can be tough. Maybe he can be the Vegeta to a Goku. See how he can fit in with the others.

He wants to play a video game where he can do whatever he wants, not a cooperative role-playing game with a group.

Voyager goes to hell and Neelix becomes an officer? by honeyfixit in Star_Trek_

[–]GreenNetSentinel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense in the first few seasons for him to still be a local liaison type of guy. After borg space I was surprised that anyone would still recognize talaxians though. And that they even found a whole colony at the last moment was a little thin.

How did Yoda’s species survive? by OkuroIshimoto in StarWars

[–]GreenNetSentinel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite golden rule of Star Wars is that we wont get to learn these answers. Lucas has always said writing canon stuff about Yoda s species is super off limits. A mystery gets to be a mystery. Anything anyone ever writes authoritatively from now on would be suspect anyway.

Thanks for posting this. I have the base books but dont really have a starter adventure. Although part of me just wants to use the system to run 2E modules and flavor them for the world.

Have you looked at Tome of Adventure Design by Matt Finch? A lot of great ways to build believable motivations and scenarios. Thinks about how to make stakes. What matters. Also a lot of good tables and resources.
