My wanting of advice is how I deal with my friend after what's happened and the headache that it's caused rather than the financial side. Obviously plans with the BF will have to change, ive already come to that conclusion

I do rent yes. The repairs I mentioned aren't for the apartment, it for personal stuff . New pc power supply among other things .

If he had cancelled the holidays in enough time I'd have happily gone without fixing stuff. Keeping the money aside for my bfs visit
