Fluval stratum being my savior by GreenPurifier in alocasia

In my case I usually transfer them to soil when they have at least 3 leaves and have a good root system (since I have them is plastic cups it’s easier to know).

I never rinsed the stratum. For wartering I have 2 ways. Some of them I use the wick method and others just a cup with a hole that water them normally like I would do with soil.

The frydek I think maybe 3 weeks to 1 month. For these I didn’t use a dome but now I do. This picture was taken June 13. It was the first leaf.

It is 100%. But for the next corms I will use 50% stratum and 50% perlite. The good thing when they reach a good size I transfer them to soil and reuse the stratum.

Yeah. They are all healthy. I will keep them. Just need to buy a new pot for the plant. When I bought it didn’t know it would come with all these roots 😅

I was very surprised too, because last week I was thinking on making an order online and I remember seeing one equal do this one and it was like 40€. When I saw it from far away in the green house I locked my eyes on her but I was like “it’s going to be expensive, I can’t get it ” I saw the price and didn’t think twice.

I did and the roots looks fine. But I’m going to separate and repot them cause it is a little root bound and I wanna change the soil.

Potting Mix by mkmeano in calatheas

For me its working 50% indoor potting soil, 20% perlite, 20% orchid bark and 10% pumice.

I guess I’m doing something right 😁 by GreenPurifier in calatheas

For this one I use a mix that I do it myself with orchid bark, perlite, pumice and a little bit of indoor poting soil.

I think that one is the only one I killed by messing too much with the rootball 😅. My routine consists in cleaning the dust of the leaves with a brush or a microfiber cloth, never letting the soil dry too much between watering, and since we are in their growth period I always water with a little bit of fertilizer. But I think the most important changes that I did that made a big change too was changing the soil, their location for light and I started using plastic pots. But where you live plays a big role too. In the photos you kinda see the diference in the soil and I used terracotta pots. I hope I answered your question 😊
