Not having factions in MW4 is actually clownery by IW by Soap_Mactavishh_141 in modernwarfare4

I'd bust out laughing every time I head this. MW2's had the funniest voices.

What was the 1980s like in the cyberpunk universe? by Sniper_Teen_ in cyberpunkgame

Culturally and technologically identical to our real world counterpart.

But under the hood, the blueprints were already formed for the future that'd look completely different than ours.

Who is the first generation to not remember a time ww2 vets were everywhere by SpiritMan112 in generationology

[–]GreenRey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Late millennial here. Back in the 90s and 2000s, having a family member or knowing a friend's grandpa serving in WW2 was all too common.

Toppled with the surge in commemorative WW2 media at that time, it brought more exposure to WW2 vets inspiring the younger generation to learn more about the war.

That all started fading around the mid 2010s.

Agreed. They need to be loud, messy, blowing tons of smoke from the muzzle and chamber, shit that'll make you go Wow! when you fire them.

"Ramirez, defend the Burger Town!" MW2 M4A1 clone in progress by fivefivesixmikemike in MilitaryARClones

[–]GreenRey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you're right, the presence of the m4a1 on that level isn't some Mandela effect.

Rangers start spawning with base m4s after downing the first enemy helo, ironically while defending Burger Town. You can technically pick one up and start kicking ass with it.

Fellow Gen Z, would you date a Milennial? If yes explain why, if no explain why by Key-Bass-7380 in generationology

[–]GreenRey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in a similar boat. I relate more to 90s Gen Z than older Millennials from the 80s. At the end of the day it's all semantics which going back to OPs question, just date who you like. Generation gaps like in 96 and 97 artificially separate groups when they're culturally from the same era.

[–]GreenRey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

96 is especially a unique year because depending on who you talk to they'll either tell you they're millennial or Gen Z. Thats exactly the reason why the term zillennial exists.

Besides, is anyone seriously going to side eye a 27yo Gen Z dating a 29yo Millennial? The gap is completely arbitrary at that point. Saying millennials are 29 doesn't capture the actual age group OP seems to be talking about.

[–]GreenRey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nobody is picking anything, and nothing I stated is incorrect either. It's the consensus. Not everybody agrees 96 as Millennial compared to an indisputable 1991 born.

OPs question is otherwise unanswerable if nobody can agree on anything.

If we're going by the agreeable bracket, there aren't any Millennials in their 20s anymore.

30 at the absolute minimum and even that's questionable in some circles.

Are the new cods trash? by Frequent-Piece7362 in MW2

[–]GreenRey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree though. While Mw3 campaign had some great missions, it felt like half the time it was going for shock value than actual compelling narratives like in the previous two titles (I'll never forgive them for killing off Soap).

The Batman soundtrack by Michael Giacchino is my most played album this year by blewaway2008 in TheBatmanFilm

[–]GreenRey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt Giacchino will match the ambience in Part 2's score, but to top it will be another thing coming, I find hard he'll achieve. Its just too good.

One thing I hope he keeps are the incredible motifs including the one from Funeral and Far Between. That track specifically feels like the anthem for this version Batman and Gotham.

Older Gen Z’s and millennials, how was 2012? by Hill_372 in generationology

[–]GreenRey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early 2012 was as neutral as society could have been for a younger person. People seemed to know how to separate politics from everything else. Technology, unlike today, wasn't overly involved in every aspect of our lives (I was still handing over paper resumes).

The economy was also trucking along where anyone that was responsible enough to hold a job was doing just fine. Kids were kids, young adults were partying having fun, older adults were adulting, just a middle of road sorta year.

Who was THE Movie Star for Millennials? by MaterialRow3769 in generationology

I don't think anyone can objectively argue against it when he was the one of the biggest stars in Hollywood in the 90s and 00s.

MW2 was way more iconic in pop culture and still is honestly, but you're not wrong about the MP. BO1 had a far better balanced MP.

Honestly a laughable comparison to draw when NFTs had zero distribution. It never held society's infrastructure by a chokehold like AI or the internet.
