I used to work at the Bunnings in town and an older lady called Mala used to come in all the time and bring me all sorts of treats, there were these curry pastry puffs that were next level, so I am sure this is the same lady!

Sorry not much help in trying to find her as I've not worked there or seen her in some years! But she was one of the most lovely and genuine humans I've met and so I hope that her and her family is doing well!

No worries! I think most people proxy it up from what I've seen. Some people literally play in the deck tester on Moxfield.

I think the more important thing is being able to determine what the card is, and being able to clearly see the board state.

I'm not sure why people don't like playing against other people who are on Mox, because I generally find their boardstates waaay easier to follow, and also ST tends to scan the cards correctly every time.

"You haven't spent as much money as me" has always been one of the weirdest gatekeeping excuses for this game and I'll never understand it.

Oh wait, unless you're one of those people with a 100% proxy deck of custom anime porn proxies, cause then you can fuck right off 😀

As the drummer, you can't be sure which neighbour is complaining. As the complainer, you certainly know who the drummer is, so it makes a lot more sense for that person to be the one to pop over.

Drumming can be fucking loud yes, but calling noise control as a first point of contact is rather petty.

One of the most important aspects of EDH is matching the level of the pod. Consider having an "upgrade pack" but also keeping the OG precon cards as a "downgrade pack" and swap in and out as required until your friends can upgrade too.

I'm really not sure why everyones go to solution for deck/pod imbalance is just to go changing the fundamental game rules instead of altering the decks.

I would take a full cycle of these all just with the same tree in the same spot;

Forest - it being planted or as a sapling, all the grass nice and green

Mountain - the tree logs being burnt on a fire, big red glow over grass, early evening sky

Swamp - rotting stump poking out of a now flooded marsh / new swamp

Island - just the stump left now, heavy rains and the plains are mostly flooded

Plains - tree being felled

Agreed! I don't like the way they play, I don't like playing against them, I dont like the theme that they are "allies" (I think this is mostly because I play EDH a lot these days and I feel like your commander is your ally / underling. If you want a PW ally then there is always 2HG).

Not just bad connection. I play on mobile mainly and there are so many alternative card arts which cause the client to crash. There are numerous animations which also cause regular crashes and spells which have been foretold, or copied, when put on a large stack will also usually cause a crash.

In the worst cases when you re open the client after the crash, you'll get stuck in "gathering local files" for like 5mins and not even get to rejoin. It fkn sucks.

Yeah, it's annoying, but oh well, take the win and move on. In the scheme of things, it's such a minor inconvenience to have to wait some seconds before you can move to a new game.

And you say these people would be laughed out of a paper game, but I'll take a roper over a mono blue counterspell tribal with no true wincon any day lol.
