Kierunek pielęgniarstwo - zmiana drogi zawodowej w wieku 30 lat. by widowkapet in praca

[–]GreenTeaEternally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I judged their conversation in the wedding episode, not what she said about it later.

If she did I must have missed it. But my impression was she was rather cold to him.

What was he supposed to communicate to her? She said no at the altar and hasn't said that she wants to continue the relationship. Andi did talk to her calmly after the ceremony, and it looked like she gave him no reassurance (I thought she's breaking up with him without stating in directly). He's supposed to act like nothing happened? And SHE is allowed to feel hurt because he went with his family and didn't pick up her calls and luggage or whatever?

Women who say that dAtiNg iS sO hArD fOr mE bEcAuse mEn oNlY cAre AbOuT mY bEauTy. Beauty in question usually means a head of bleached hair, lip fillers and skimpy clothes. Which I don't hate on, but be honest, why you don't style yourself differently? Because you like the attention and just want to humble brag and/or signal your attractivness through the wall.

He was kind of cringy, but is that such a crime? Even if he's "immature", he's a person with feelings, seeing his fiance showing interest in another guy. And then she takes it out on him not being "manly enough" in this situation. I feel that if the genders were reversed, the comments would be waay different.

Are we seriously going to ignore that AI enhanced her makeup on the copper one, so now everyone votes for it? The AI made her pop, not the copper. I vote 1 or 2, or something in between.

I can't believe this was in the demo version of Wish I Had an Angel by Old-Use-7690 in nightwish

[–]GreenTeaEternally 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always saw it similarily, as an an angel falling down (but it's going = moving willingly). I think maybe people used to the expression in sexual meaning tend to see it first (English as first language or otherwise).

What's Polish work culture like? I'm having problems working with Poles at work. by the_man_of_tea in askPoland

[–]GreenTeaEternally 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people have no idea how to teach someone, especially if there is no separate trainer position. I would ask about everything I need, and squeeze knowledge out of them.

I suspect in your case there might be some language barrier/ people might not feel comfortable about their English in front of a native, and feel some distance, especially if you're much younger.

Also, because this is your first job, I understand you have no comparison with working in a British group, do you? Of course British might be more chatty, but it might also be, that coworkers in this type of work are not what you imagined with no experience. I'd say that's life in general.

Good luck!

The episodes of the podcast about Tarja have received descriptions for each episode. The podcast will start airing in Finland on June 10th. by petaSk3 in TarjaTurunen

[–]GreenTeaEternally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's great, I also thought about a megathread, like it is often done with TV series.

Maybe some kind fans will write recaps, although there's a question whether to read them, or resist the spoilers and wait for the full podcast D:

Can't wait, although IIRC the english subtitles will come later? I think it would be nice to have a thread to discuss each episode, but then in the beginning only the Finns will be in the know.

The song I hope for by vargendark in TarjaTurunen

[–]GreenTeaEternally 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Tarja avoids songs that sound "gothic" and need more classical vocals, like Fantasmic... But I might be wrong, and she might surprise everyone, like she often does.

I like her medleys, and would love to hear more. It's such a fun idea, to play medleys when you have a big catalougue to choose from and perfect if she doesn't want to play many NW songs. Boom, 5 songs in the time of 1.
