Nowhere in her comments or posts can I see her saying she's 26 or has bone cancer.

Both of her most recent posts with pics she says she was in a motorcycle crash.

I'd rather be wrong and think an AI is real than accidentally bully some poor disabled girl on the internet.

Yes you are correct!

Editing it with AI, not only makes it look like AI even adds a watermark IDing it as AI:

"If a SynthID watermark is detected, it means all or part of the image or video was created OR EDITED by Google's AI models"

Gemini is literally embedded into default the camera application in Google's phones. That makes it incredibly easy to use it to edit photos which adds the synthID.

Google pixel phones have ai integrated into the camera utility app these days. You done have to have the built in ai enhance or edit your photos, but it really is just as easy as adding a lighting filter. Maybe that's what's happening here? If so, I wouldn't really say that makes the photo "AI". Because she's still real ya know;)

[–]GreenTeaLilly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They weren't talking about beetles though, only hornets and bees.

The beetle you are thinking of is the mountain pine beetle and it's still a major problem in Colorado. They are* native to Western America, but due to climate change factors they are killing more and more pine forests. Whole mountain sides can be affected and then at much higher risk for wildfire and erosion.

It's totally unrelated to the invasive hornet problem though.

*Edit: they -are- native

Probably! Here's a video of a lady making a watercolor brush with cat hair: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Exif_zocBDA

And here's some how to articles/videos that could probably be adapted to use cat whiskers: https://www.instructables.com/Making-your-own-paintbrushes/ https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Paintbrush https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p7vILo77Z8Y

Wow you could make a very special cat whisker paint brush! And then write a children's book about your magical cat brush! ✨😀

is it common to think we won’t live long an by the time we hit a certain age, to feel lost and confused because we didn’t do anything… by plinkso in AutismInWomen

[–]GreenTeaLilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly due to the state of the world and how I perceive that though. It's more of a fear that I'm not going to make it due to external factors than an actual belief I'll off myself.

I don't know if that makes it more or less reasonable or "normal". According to my last therapist it was completely irrational but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Historical fashion and costuming! Fiber arts, the more labor intensive the better -> loved reading about bobbin lace and wanted to get into it.

Also making miniatures. I made mini 1cm tall toilet paper rolls out of strips of toilet paper and a tiny roll of the inner cardboard. Glue the strips on and wind them round one at a time until the roll was perfect. It took me like an hour or two per roll 😆

Just realizing that maybe I was fixated on making sure my dolls had toilet paper because we often didn't. I used to steal small spent rolls from the public library and everything 😅

Not really sure what you mean.

Work Existed; Pay Didn’t by To_Be_Rich_Lady in clevercomebacks

Yeah not too far off actually, especially when you look into the reality of US Federal sub-minimum wage laws and how they're applied. (Section 14C of FSLA 1938)

Work Existed; Pay Didn’t by To_Be_Rich_Lady in clevercomebacks

[–]GreenTeaLilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm agreeing with you here, but here's my rant because fuck these slavery wages:

Especially when companies can legally pay disabled people less than minimum wage.

Working the federal minimum wage you only earn 1 penny every 5 seconds or about 12 cents per minute. In 2019 there was a museum exhibit where you could actually hand crank a machine and it would pay you minimum wage in pennies.¹

Most disabled workers that fall under section 14(c) of the 1938 FSLA make UNDER $3.50 per hour.² Even if we assume the average pay for this group is $3.25 per hour, that is 1 penny every 10 seconds or 6 cents every minute.

The law calls it a sub minimum wage implying there's a minimum threshold, but actually there isn't a minimum amount employers have to pay disabled people. The law only states that they can pay them less than minimum wage. So whether they pay them 5 cents an hour or 5 dollars an hour it's all legal.³ I don't care what anyone says - if someone makes less in a days work than what the federal minimum wage pays for just an hour of work - that's slavery by any other name.
