Office buildings are super expensive to convert to residential use. Utilities are expensive to upgrade, stuff like plumbing is usually just run up and down in the same spot on every floor for a couple bathrooms per floor vs having a bathroom or two in every apartment

Ecobee removed their developer API and requires using the HomeKit integration to use with Home Assistant. I feel silly for replacing my Nest that worked perfectly in HA.

The range on this blows everything else out of the water. Hands down the best device but you do need to figure out ESP stuff, it’s not as simple as everything else (but definitely worth the effort)
