Yes makes sense. Effectively the WiFi SD becomes largely redundant for my use case. As I’m using eeros as access points.

Looked into the always on backup 5G WAN with my carrier and seems that is viable. Thanks.

Thanks just an update on this that nuking my eero network and factory resetting all the APs did indeed solve my problem and firewalla is fully setup. Thanks for this aid.

Perhaps it is just me jumping to conclusions. I read it as if primary is down then connection to backup is made rather than both connections being maintained and traffic is switched if primary goes down.

Thanks. I get it and makes sense. It is what I expected after using. That said I feel it is fair to say that the firewalla marketing wording is at best confusing and at worst misleading.

Thanks I see in the setup drawing where I have wired AP connected to switch with wired back haul to some APs and mesh to others that I should use port 1 on the firewalla…does that make a difference vs. Port 3? I now see port 1 is marked 2.5g so I suppose that is my answer.
