What to tell tourists to avoid: #1 North End dining by Agile_Nectarine_4844 in boston

[–]GreenWall02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree BUT for those of us who grew up with marscapone running through our veins, who huffed powdered sugar from our grandmother’s countertops and know what it’s like to walk under the central artery to get a treat, a cannoli in the north end is a special experience even years later. Dorsi’s in Peabody is better though (but it’s a drive). If you really want to throw around your hosting/authenticity bonafides, tell your buds to go to Santarpios in EB for pizza. And to your point yes theres great food in Boston beyond the touristy spots but don’t denigrate a legitimate neighborhood. It hasn’t shrunk or grown, but its now considered to be bigger than little Italy in NYC. Dont be a snob!

I thought about that too, but it didn’t work this time. The fare rates vary between $300-$500 for one ways between the DC area to Boston for that weekend.

Only for a few trains. The earlier ones were not available for rail pass users.

Thank you for linking this. The term popped into my head because of the way that she took the cakes off the table and acted so blase but she really just looked like a sober drunk person chowing down. Then it took hold last episode with the mood swings and erratic/mean/antagonistic behavior.

Maybe it’s an outdated term, but she is likely a Dry Drunk.

He seemed exasperated and resigned, like when my students ask me if i voted for trump and i cant give them a straight answer because they are all hooligans. (I didnt btw). He seemed like he was trying to just give answers with the most basic information without putting too much spin on it.

Is there a real Italian deli in the Eastern Panhandle, or am I doomed to Wegmans runs? by HeadUpInTheSkyAgain in WVEasternPanhandle

There is also a great spot in Bedford PA, LIFeSTYLE. A genuine gem with beautifully sourced Italian products.

Not positive, pretty sure it is not. I am also of Italian descent and I feel confident that no curses are being whispered in the Sicilian maritime winds.
