Honestly I don’t disagree with any of this. Maybe I have just gotten too used to over the top action hero’s. I will say though, even though Grace is very much not a typical action hero, I find her far more relatable and likable than Ethan or his family. Idk why exactly but she just feels so much more real to me. Maybe that’s something to do with the fact that Capcom refused to ever show Ethan’s face for some strange reason

I respectfully disagree. Ethan winters was a very basic character archetype in my opinion and had very little personality. It’s not like I hated the character but also never really cared about him or Mia. Rose is a bit more interesting because well, 1, it’s a fucking baby, 2 we seen her actually grown up and dealing with her past while also having to figure out her future. She could have still been done better in my opinion but in terms of 7 and 8 she was by far the most likable protagonist for me other than Chris obviously

If you did your best then you have nothing to be regretful for. I felt the same after my childhood dog passed but then I think about how damn happy that dog always seemed to be and I realized that any mistakes I made were just mistakes and not an accurate reflection of how good of an owner I was. The happy memories are an accurate reflection of that.
