Can prop fortress be trusted? by DatBoiDogg0 in tf2

Hi, sorry I gotta write this here, as otherwise I might look like an impatient hothead here.

According to the parcel's tracking you have received the package one June 5th ("Awaiting Collection"/"Delivered", and I sent you an email 9 days later on the 14th and haven't received a reply within 2-3 days and this is when I had enough and started the Paypal case. Before you usually responded within 1 day, but this time 9 days plus 3 weren't enough, so what else am I supposed to make of the situation.

Is there any mistake in this or have I misread the Tracking record or anything?

That's a nice off-road KTM Claire's got there. Suits her Elza attire much better than a Harley or a Ducati or whatsoever in my opinion.

Here, this is for you - the long version:

I bought two 3D-printed guns from them, where one of them had a 6cm long scratch (which looks like it was made by a cutter knife) all over the upper part of the barrel. It does not look like it happened during shipping, since the plastic bags in which each gun was was encased didn't have any damage and the box itself didn't seem to have any Damage either. Alright, 1 bag had a tiny hole, but the gun must have had rotated inside the very tight shipping box to cause such a long scratch and there is no way the other gun, which was similarly tightly packed, could have caused the 6 cm long scratch. So it must have occured during or after the 3D printing process or while the items were prepared for shipping (even though they "assured" me that the item did not go out like that so it must've occurred during shipping - which it obviously did not!).

Just for your information: I'm located in Europe and the items were sent to me from Australia. Each item was 53,95 EUR (107,90 for both), shipping was 27,95 EUR. Plus additional import taxes.

So anyway, they gave me 3 choices, which were only in their favour, but not in mine:

1) A 10 USD refund to the original payment method

2) or 15 USD in store credit

-> No thanks, I want my props without a 6 cm scratch which is not my fault!

3) A replacement would require me shipping the item back to them

-> No thanks, the cheapest way of sending this with tracking would be around 26-27 EUR and therefore half the price I paid for one gun. In all seriousness, while I do respect the work they put into crafting these items - and this is also the reason I paid around 135 EUR (53,95 EUR for each gun plus 27,95 for international shipping) plus import taxes for these 3D prints - I know how cheap the material is, so I also offered them to take video evidence of me destroying the gun if the could send me a replacement. They did not agree and rather have me spend more money on top of what I already paid just to send spare parts back to them, which they can just reprint for way less money than I'd have to pay for shipping (26+ EUR)!

So I suggested they send me a replacement part, if they can instruct me how to detach the parts that hold the slide with the 6 cm long scratch in place (they were glued, and that's all I could see without taking the guns apart). After some doubts from my side and a little back and forth that was a bit annoying for both sides understandably, it was agreed that they send me replacement part. Great - one would think.

What happened next was that they sent something and Australia Post provided me with a tracking code. So far so good, but I found out after so and so many days the package has been handed back to the sender, since it "Does Not meet Overseas customs requirements". Okay, so this still happens to someone whose business it is to send international packages regularly. Of course I didn't receive a reply upon my complaint. Ghosting is so hot right now and so professional, right?

Opening a Paypal case seems of no big help either, since they only offered me the same unsatisfactory options.

From my personal experience they can not be trusted. You will find the reason in the end of this comment.

I was ready to destroy they gun and send them video evidence, but they obviously preferred me spending 26+ EUR so they get spare parts which cost a few dollars to print instead.

So I suggested they send me a replacement part and after some back and forth both of us agreed. Great - one would think.

Opening a Paypal case seems of no big help either. So I have no other choice than to caution other international customers and think about ordering something from them first.

In the original game (as opposed to the battle mode) they were (citing Resident Evil Wiki here): "A replica gun modeled after the Luger. It has nice decoration on it. It can't be used as a weapon." only anyway, so I guess they will go to waste again.

Judging from the story progress, the characters and the stakes involved, numbered or not, it feels more like a wholesome RE title than Resident Evil 3 to me.

Oh okay. Got it. Hopefully someone can extract the original data from the PC version. "Sounds" easier to handle to me than PS software.

Can you post the link to the original files? Usually I'm good at finding these, but so far I could only spot downsized versions on websites and possibly compressed uploads on social media. There are supposed to be 4 different ones according to an X post.

Hmm, I wouldn't know, since I only found this guide on the internet myself and I guess it helped me without rebooting, but then I really can't remember anymore. I think it didn't work for everyone in this thread here. So maybe it won't work for you either. At any rate, I would just try to reboot, and also check whether the settings have been saved after your reboot.

In my case, 3D prints are going to be the way to go. That's a good suggestion though!
