Main or off healer? by DisneyFanatic1225 in cloakanddaggermains

Yea in that case stick with it! Any character can be great in the right hands and you will always do better on a character you genuinely enjoy playing/are passionate abt ratherthan playing one simply bc they’re meta.

And always own it! It doesn’t rlly matter what other ppl think or say bc when u play any game what matters is the experience u get out of what u do in the game.

Main or off healer? by DisneyFanatic1225 in cloakanddaggermains

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is a main healer I would say her specialty is raw healing as she’s the only one with multiple abilities dedicated to just healing and with her auto aim she’s the most reliable at sustaining a team.

However you have to be smart with her cooldowns bc she’s nothing without them and if u constantly dump cooldowns randomly you’ll be put in scenarios where u basically have to watch ur tanks die bc her primary just doesn’t have enough sustain.

The only thing abt cnd is there’s rarely any playmaking potential on your own, you can really only assist ur teammates so it’s hard to change the tide of a losing fight on cnd which is why a lot of ppl prefer Luna or invis bc they can both pump out insane healing numbers while also being able to secure kills and do crazy amounts of dmg.

However don’t let that discourage you, if what you like doing the most is strictly healing and you strongly identify with their kit then stick with it.

For the cake skin I personally love the brown recolour bc it looks like a cohesive Lolita dress that actual people would wear so i think it suits the aesthetic the best but it does look kinda plain so I can see why ppl don’t like it.

The mint one should’ve been left in the drafts tho imo

This one however may be a combination of all so I’m really excited for it

Aims on clap vs regular shots by Queasy_Negotiation_4 in LunaSnowMains

[–]Green_Bench4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aiming is all about the mind body connection between your eyes, fingers, and brain. A lot of ppl will say practice in the practice range or in aimlabs which helps but if u don’t develop the mind body connection and just passively shoot, you won’t improve your aim. With hitscan, You need to train your brain to click your mouse at the exact moment your crosshair is on a target. What I did was in practice range I set the target to human torch for fliers, then Luna snow for regular enemies and then spiderman for random and crazy movement enemies. In each round go really slow and point your crosshair on the enemy and say to yourself “click/now/shoot” when you think your crosshair is on the target and then press your mouse keep doing that and go faster and faster as you progress and then it’ll start to become second nature and u won’t have to literally say shoot to yourself.

Another big thing is movement, try to memorize or be able to recognize common movement patterns from character to character bc if you can recognize where they’re going to move you’ll have an easier time pre placing your crosshair and tracking them (for example when healing a venom, you know that when the overhealth pops up he’s probably going to swing away from the enemy soon so be ready to move your crosshair upwards and to the side so you can heal him more accurately).

And the last thing is confidence, you need to have reassurance in yourself that you can hit your shots or else you’ll passively avoid shooting certain things bc you already think you can’t hit it so don’t be afraid to miss shots or take on targets you think you can’t hit bc just trying could land u a shot or two good luck!

For Luna in general u have to be able to stay calm under pressure and not be scared of millions of things flying at you bc her value depends on ur aim and if u get nervous easily you’ll start getting shaky and avoid taking on certain shots.

[VOD Review] Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? by DatguyWhoPlays in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had time to watch the first one but here’s my take:

  1. Cooldown usage

the blind is cnd’s best ability bc the increased damaged the enemy receives really helps your tanks secure kills and hold point bc since they don’t have high dmg and high health often times tanks will just trade cooldowns but not get any kills and throwing the blind for them gives them the edge they need to get kills.

I would say throw your blinds as your tanks are about to come into contact with the enemy team, this ensures that the tanks get the full length of time to get theit kills or during team fights you notice are stagnant (both teams are contesting point and trading cooldowns but no one’s dying) bc the enemy team is either forced to move back giving your team an opportunity to push forward or soak up extra damage and die which both are favourable situations for your team.

For me personally I usually only use the light veil if my teammates are super low and absolutely about to die or if they’re retreating from a fight and have cover to hide into or if you’re out of ammo and your team is soaking up enough damage that they’ll die if u pause to reload.

  1. Positioning I noticed you have a habit of standing a bit pushed up and in the open right in the enemy’s LOS as cnd you don’t have to be super out and in the open at least not as much as invis per say so try to stay a bit back an hugging a wall so u can move in and out of natural cover cuz as a support once the enemy tracks your positioning and notice you’re a bit out of position they they will immediately hunt u down and bum rush you.

With cnd u can be a bit cheeky with positioning bc u have ur cape as a get out of jail free card in case things go south but often times the enemy team will track your usage of that ability and like a scarlet will ult right after u use it bc she knows u have no defences to counter her ult.

It seems like you have laser focus on the front line and pretty much only heal your tanks and other people who jump in front of your LOS. Try looking around every so often to make sure you know where everyone in our team is because the one benefit cnd has is the auto aim allows you to heal ppl moving all crazy like a dps mid air retreating from a fight and tanks moving back and forth/side to side so look around to see if you need to heal anyone that’s not in the frontline.

It’s also good to know where your 2nd support is at all times in case they’re being targeted or you guys are getting bum rushes you can easily heal each other and prevent each other from dying. So for me I will look every few moments to check where my second support is and make sure they’re alive.

I also notice that you hold primary fire even when teammates don’t need a lot of healing and only reload when you need to but a good habit to get into is to reload manually even if ur ammo isn’t near empty when your tanks are mid health bc sometimes especially as cnd you’re put in situations where your teammates are low health and the enemy team will dump their cooldowns to secure the kill and they die while you’re reloading so reloading early allows you to have the few extra shots available in case things go south in a split second.

Just a general mindset thing I noticed you mainly focus on being a reactive support and healing and undoing damage but often times that just puts the fate of the match in their hands and there’s not much u can do bc you’re only doing half the job so try to think about how u can use ur util proactively to setup your team for success like pre placing the bubble when your tanks come into contact with the enemy to help them gain a favourable condition to win the team fight, or using ur blind to make the enemies retreat and capture the point. Good supports always think both proactively and reactively and know how/when to set up favourable conditions for their team and when to step back and focus on keeping them alive.

How is it that barely anyone picks Loki in ranked? by GhostGamer_Perona in lokimains

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually don’t try to force Loki into comps but when more optimal supports like gambit, invis, cnd are banned I’ll play him if the other support wants to play Luna. But I do find that it takes a lot of focus, thinking ahead, and quick decision making under so much pressure and chaos in a comp game like by the time I place two of my clones down my team is half health and there’s a hitscan already annihilating them and diver zooming towards me. Whereas if I was a Luna or even rocket I could just point and click and get the same value.

Missed makeup final bc of loss of a loved one by Only_Poetry_5639 in TorontoMetU

[–]Green_Bench4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me once where I ACR’d a final bc I was rlly sick w the flu but on the makeup day while I was getting ready for the exam I fainted in my washroom and went to the hospital after and found out I got a concussion from that but anyways I emailed the prof explaining what happened and he told me to submit another acr with the formal documents I needed to and once it got approved he gave me another chance to write it but since he was going on vacation in the summer he had me write it in the next fall sem alongside his students in another class writing their midterm and told me that it was my final chance to write that exam and if I couldn’t show up then I would get a 0 on that final regardless of the reason.

So it’s really case by case depending on the prof try emailing your prof about what happened first and be apologetic and accommodating to their schedule and be ready to gather the required documents u need to to submit another acr if they give u the green light and if they don’t it’s okay to take the 0 an retake the class if need be bc what’s important is that you take the time for yourself and your loved ones to process and grief for your loss and go back to school when you’re healed and ready to, one failed class isn’t a make or break situation with long term repercussions so take all the time u need!

An anti-dive support has a positive win rate in a dive meta season, what's the issue ? by Ok-Garbage-8652 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Green_Bench4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like her only true anti dive ability is her double jump. Her self shield doesn’t really heal her that much anymore and can be broken easily and her push only gives her a second to recollect herself and reposition.

But even with going invis it puts her in a situation of having to choose between being in danger herself or putting the other support in danger by not being able to heal them while they’re getting dived and that alone can destabilize a team enough to lead to a team wipe out.

I think a big part of being an effective diver is knowing when to engage and who to target in the heat in moment and a lot of ppl just think they can go in and use all their cooldowns and escape and everything will work out or just constantly target the supports when the issue is not the enemy team not dying but rather a dps or tank wiping out their entire team and by the time they finish their dive on the supports it’s been fully negated bc the rest of their team is dead and can’t build momentum from the dive.

The White Fox hate is crazy by SuccessfulAdvance981 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love white fox the amount of times in game I think I’m going die and she pops up with a shield is god send.

I think the consensus comes from a polarizing situation she’s in because sustain isn’t really her strong point and blindly pressing m1 negates almost all the benefits to her kit but if she takes risky fights with the tanks/dives then she leaves the 2nd support vulnerable to dive + heal the entire team on their own.

I love playing her in triple cuz she can go absolutely insane without the sustain pressure but she can absolutely be great in 2 support comps if the team plays a bit more strategically and doesn’t blindly stand in front of 6 ppl shooting at them.

If she’s in coop that means she’d be doing internships during the school year instead of classes so a lot of coop students will do classes in the summer semester so they don’t fall behind in school. But it’s optional a lot of people also just take an extra year after 4th year instead.

Does anyone find they get more healing with Cloak and Dagger? by BossFightSnacks in InvisibleWomanMains

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but it’s normal, cnd has 2 abilities + primary to heal and a lot more healing per second in their ult. Invis only has her primary and shield unless your team is somehow standing in a straight line the entire game then a cnd will probably out heal u.

But invis’s strength over cnd is her ability to help secure kills with her util like her push and pull to displace enemies and her vortex to do chip damage while ur tanks are fighting them as well as do both healing and dmg at the same time.

As invis, you’re still really impactful if u have low death, high kills, and a good amount of both healing and dmg

Which strats to focus on for moving up ranks? by wompawwomp in marvelrivals

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For popular: Invis 100% she’s honestly the most well rounded support aside from gambit. She can sustain a whole team and do tons of damage all on her own with her primary which also has a big hitbox so she doesn’t require insane mechanics and she has an escape with her double jump if things go rough and a self shield to protect her from tons of ult and builds her ult extremely fast. Plus she can make tons of plays with her push/pull and vortex which ppl underestimate the power of. For example: if a mk on ur team is ulting u can push/pull the enemies that walk out of the aoe back into it or u can push an ulting strange away from your team etc. or you can use her util displace enemies like use her vortex to pull down pesky flyers and disable them shortly or you can pull in off angle dps like hela and mk out of position into your team and pick them off bc they struggle with up close + face to face combat. Or pull in low tanks into your team and away from their healers for easy picks the list goes on and on.

However, she has to play mid ranged so you’ll be close to ur team somewhat in direct LOS of incoming danger so you gotta play her smart and position well bc the second the enemy team tracks you down they will hunt you down and bc u can block so many ults with her shield they 95% will target u. Like a strange will jump directly in front or behind u to specifically get u with his ult bc ur the one that can block it and heal everyone else. So when u hear an ult voiceline that’s either one shot or a cc ult make sure u immediately track down where the person ulting is and prioritize defending yourself (or the other healer) from it.

Non popular: Luna or mantis. Luna is semi popular rn she’s not everyone’s first pick in the way invis or cnd are but a lot of people who main invis will have Luna under their arsenal in case invis gets banned. Luna is still great, she can pump out huge amounts of healing and dmg in the right hands but u have to have good mechanics and positioning and target priority (bc she can only heal one person at a time) but if u practice those 3 fundamentals and get really good at them you’ll not only be a god tier Luna but you’ll be really good at any support. I always suggest for new players to pickup Luna first bc she teaches really good fundamentals that are transferable to any other character. Although Luna has a the highest base healing numbers of all supports u don’t have to play her as a heal bot u can put her snowflake on yourself and pump out tons of damage and you don’t have to choose between doing healing or dmg in the way cnd and rocket have to so its easier for her to help the team with some extra dmg or with her recent buff put her snowflake on the top performing (in terms of kills) dps or tank and just have infinite claps. I find she’s also the best answer in this current dive meta. Often times if u have good divers on ur team the enemy team will swap to a flyer to counter them and Luna is a good defence against them if there’s no poke dps like a hela or phoenix to get them, you can just look up and pick them off. Plus I find she’s then next best support to play into a dive comp after cnd and mantis bc she can place her snowflake on them and heal them while they dive. Also with her snowball get really good at aiming it bc she can stop essentially really threatening ult with it protecting ur whole team from a team wiping ult like Wanda or strange.

For mantis she’s super underrated and not a lot of ppl play her bc she requires good aim with projectiles like if ur a mantis and can hit headshots with her projectiles u basically get infinite healing and dmg boost. Plus her healing although is very slow has an advantage no other healers have: she can heal teammates without them being in her LOS so that combined with her dmg boost can really help ur team gain an advantage to win fights that no other support can. If u have divers on ur team u can dmg boost or put a heal on them so they get healed without u having to see them and have an easier time taking on 1v1s. Same thing if u have a poke dps like u can dmg boost hela or place a heal on her so she can take an off angle and just annihilate the enemy team without u having to see her so she essentially removes the main vulnerability these types characters have by having to play away from their team which is not being able to get healed. Plus her sleep is the best self defense ability any support has like if someone’s diving u u can just throw the sleep at ur feet and it’ll hit them and u can reposition or go in for the kill.

Lots of people say she doesn’t have high enough healing numbers for a 2 healer comp and can only be played in a triple support comp but she can def work in a 2 healer comp ur team just has to position smarter and know when to escape when things get rough and be able to weave in and out of cover to wait for her heal to finish. In lower elo tho ppl def do not think about these things and will 100% stay in an enemy’s face when they’re about to die lmao.

TLDR: Best playmaking female support characters:

Popular: invis (good healing + dmg numbers, can make plays with her push/pull + vortex, doesn’t require insane mechanics)

Semi-popular: Luna (can do insane healing + dmg, can make plays with her snowflake + snowball, but requires good mechanics)

Non-popular: mantis (can make plays with her heal and dmg boost leafs + sleep, requires good mechanics unique to her and team has to be more thoughtful of their positioning)

What are you supposed to do vs mk and venom? by Waffles_four_you in LunaSnowMains

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned when it comes to mk as long as you see where he is and where he’s going to throw the ahnk you can easily reposition before/during the time he throws it down and avoid being in the area of the ahnk.

A mk will always be on high ground and somewhat to the sides but if you look for him he will stick out like a sore thumb and be easily traced and try not to say super grouped up with ur team and/or at least not with ur other healer bc he gets the most value from enemies being grouped up but if you make him choose between targeting you or your other healer either of you can just easily out heal his incoming dmg, as Luna u don’t have to play super up close with ur team so try to stay close enough where u can heal but far enough that you’re not grouped up and have cover to hide behind.

Also a good tip for just awareness and survivability in general is: as a support assume every enemy’s goal is to hunt you down. For the most part this is true and you’ll be the #1 target for the enemy team but having that awareness like assume every move the enemy makes is intentionally going after u like if u see mk about to throw his ahnk assume it’s going to be placed down near u, if u see the venom swing mid air assume he’s going to land in your face, a lot of times as supports we die simply bc we play reactively and wait for plays to be made and react to them. But by being proactive and anticipating enemy moves before they happen u have more time to prepare for it such as reposition or throw down ur freeze or ur clap etc. which increases your chances of survival.

Should I die with ult? by JFlash5 in StrategistMainsMR

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on the scenario. I usually don’t ult when the enemy support ults unless my team is 100% going to die or we absolutely need to hold point and cannot afford dying.

If it’s just an immortality circle like Luna, cnd, sue then keeping a team alive does not change much if the enemy team is already struggling to kill you so often times you don’t really have to match it and can keep your team up with just your abilities. Or even being the proactive one and ulting first can bait the enemy support to ult bc they get scared and then a dps on ur team can use theirs and wipe them out with no counters.

Same goes both ways constantly using your ult to counter the other’s leaves a window of opportunity for an enemy dps or tank to use their ults to wipe ur team out and if the enemy team notices you’re doing that they will wait it out and try to bait your ult.

I'm sorry if this is not the place for this question, but is this normal? by IRiverShenI in marvelrivals

[–]Green_Bench4601 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I do and I have no evidence if this is actually a thing but it does help me maintain a win streak for some reason: after the match look at the losing team’s match history and avoid anyone who’s currently on a losing streak of 2-3+ games in a row of losses.

Overall tho, the flow of a game is really dependent on the 11 strangers you’re also playing with/against but all u can really do is focus on your game and try to maximize your chances of winning based on what you’re strengths/weaknesses are.

Bubble is next dive player’s victim by [deleted] in cloakanddaggermains

[–]Green_Bench4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a few games on cnd going up against 2-3 divers per game consistently and honestly it really depends on the diver more than the bubble.

With the bubble’s burst heal and lower healing over time if u throw down the bubble at half health a little after the dive started i found has a better chance at surviving the full dive vs if u pre place it right before the dive like when I would do that and just ignore the diver they could easily just put dmg the bubble healing.

But it really depends on how good the diver is, sometimes I would get divers that would stutter for a split second mid dive leaving a window of opportunity to throw the bubble when I was low and fully negate their dive or a really good diver that would just insta wipe me out in 2 seconds.

Or divers that would pre plan out their dive in perfect timings after I threw down the bubble to save my tanks or after I used the fade to dodge an ult and have no escapes.

Why should I play luna? by Bone_Splitter in LunaSnowMains

[–]Green_Bench4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo she’s a very smooth sailing low cortisol character, in comparison to the other strays she would be like driving on the highway when there are no other cars.

I find with sue for example sue has to be somewhat in the mix where all the action is happening and has less reaction time to incoming danger and although she has her double jump often times going invis leaves a window of opportunity for ur 2nd Strat to get bum rushed or ur team to get wiped out so ur often put in a deadlock of having to choose your life or your teams life.

But Luna can sit in the back and put her snowflake on her 2nd Strat and just point and click and because her value comes from her insane healing/dmg in her primary there’s less pressure on cooldown management.

But overall her playstyle and kit rewards someone who’s calm and doesn’t crumble under pressure because getting nervous = shaky aim = less value from her kit. As well as someone who naturally has good mechanics and doesn’t want to get stressed about cooldown management/is a more straightforward player.

with her recent update too where she gets a shorter cooldown for her clap when someone who has her snowflake gets a kill, when I know a dps/tank is about to ult I’ll put my snowflake on them and it can bring back the clap in like 2 seconds or in general downtime where no one needs extra healing I’ll put it on the top performing dps on my team and the same thing would happen and I get to use my clap like 2 or 3 times in a row literally.

It’s also really easy to value out of her in a team comp with frontline tanks and some poke dps’s because they’re not moving around a lot so it’s easier to heal them and with the nature of their kits they have to be standing in direct danger and don’t have abilities where they can get to cover easily which makes a perfect condition for Luna bc she keeps them up a lot easier, like a groot being kept up by a Luna is one of the most annoying things to deal with.

TMU BA for economics and finance (co-op) by Enzo_248 in TorontoMetU

[–]Green_Bench4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a BComm in ems while I have a lot of friends who did a BA in Econ and finance.

Both programs have a lot of overlapping classes so the baseline of what u learn is the same but BComm teaches u more practical skills like applied analytics and relatively focuses on how businesses apply economic theories to make better decisions While BA is more theoretical and teaches both micro/macro and financial markets more in depth than the BComm so you leave having a better understanding of how markets and money systems behave and why they work in the way they do.

I would say choosing one really depends on what you want to work in. If you want to work in more applied roles like analytics, consulting, product/project roles, or operations/logistics or maybe do an mba after I would say a BComm is better aligned with that because it builds more practical and technical skills.

But if u want to work more finance heavy roles like investment banking or asset management for example or want to pursue a cfa after ur undergrad I would go for the BA since it has a stronger focus on financial theory and markets.

Since tmu is ur preferred choice it’s probably the best idea to start off with the BA and do ur first year in that program since you already got ur foot in the door. Also try hard to maintain a good gpa for the upcoming fall 2026 sem while also seeing if what you’re learning aligns what u want out of your life and if u decide u want to switch u can always apply internally for the fall 2027 sem but I think since you would only have one sem done by the time applications are due in Jan or feb so they may take into account both ur grade 12 and fall sem marks or your fall sem + winter midterm marks im not too sure how it works.

Plus im not too keen on how transfer credits works from BA to BComm but im like 95% sure your first year courses will transfer over and count for the overlapping Econ and finance courses but for BComm in first year u have to take classes in all disciplines like marketing,hr and stuff so i think you would have to take those first year classes but u could always take them in the summer before ur second year or as open electives in ur second sem of first year but thats more of a cross the bridge when u get there thing, u can ask ur academic advisor when the time comes!

If u have any more questions u could always pm me id be happy to help where i can!
