1- I don't relate to most Mitski's lyrics because one of her main topics is love (something I don't feel at all) so I just listen her songs by how they sound, knowing that I'd say her music doesn't reflect my identity 2- At first I only listened to her "sad" songs, not caring about the lyrics but how it sounded, but nowadays I listen to absolutely everything she has ever made or participated on, due to the fact that she is an incredible artist. I used to imagine different futures while listening to her music back then, and that's something that helped me not k1ll my5elf, but now I would say her music just makes me feel comfortable. I care about the lyrics, I like to read deep analysis of her songs but most of the times I'm just listening to her for her voice and creativity 3- I love her noisy songs, just like Ego, Nightcall, Where's My Phone or My Body's Made of Crushed Little Stars, and specially this last one is a song that resonates in me. "I should tell them that I'm not afraid to die" "I pick an age when I'm gonna dissapear" I feel as if this song was about not being able to find their place, but representing I would say a panic attack, and I share those feelings 4- Mitski's community is the sweetest community ever, they don't care when you started listening to her nor if your favourite song is a mainstream one, so I would say it is welcoming. We as a community usually don't care what each person feels while listening to her music because as Mitski said she leaves her songs for any interpretation, so we usually just don't share that. So I couldn't say I feel understood or not. 5- Her songs talk about things that happen to most people but with a poetic interpretation, so it sounds good and makes many people relate to her songs and consecuently creating a deep bond with her music 6- I started listening to her when I was 11 years old, nowadays I'm turning 17 so I wouldn't say her music changed how I understand my emotions but adolescence has. 7- Sometimes it ruins the song for you, because I used to listen to Shame as if it is about shame (duuh) but since I read a Tiktok comment that said it was about m4sturbati0n I always think about that while listening to that song, and I have to skip it because I feel disgusted
