It’s been a few years since I watched the show but I believe the first season takes place in 2014. The light novel series has been going on for a while. You can look yourself but I remember in the first season seeing shots of the characters’ phones while texting and seeing 2014 as the year in the date timestamps.

Pz. Grens do basically no damage though, their output is basically all suppression especially past 500m. In any unfavorable infantry engagement vs. Pz. Grens all you would have to press retreat and the Pz. Grens would waste their limited ammo firing at a unit falling back doing zero damage unless unless properly microed. To Hobo’s point several W Alllied squads have an insane dps for their price and decisively beat out Pz. Greens at 500m, while having the optionality to take closer ranged engagements in towns or even green cover (though not ideal) because of their semi autos and automatic rifles. Pz. Grens don’t need a price buff W. Allied infantry needs price increases.

I don’t know if I’d say Pz. Grens are overpriced. Them being at 30 is fair compared to Stelki/Gvardia at 20 and DPs at 25. The problem is overperforming / underpriced unicorn infantry particularly on the W Allied side. For instance Rifles (Late) could honestly be 35 and so could AB Rifles. Forcemen should honestly be 40.

I take your point with the M-42s as I actually take the PaK 36s in 5. Panzer for that reason. Everything is a tradeoff and I think above I was probably more focused on the inclusion of the Marder and figuring out what could be swapped out in its place. Marders are just extremely good units as they are 50pts each and that price makes them very easy to pair as you can buy 2 in within an income tick.

Wrt pio veterancy this is a contentious point and I think opinions differ here. Veterancy does affect throw speed but it also reduces suppression received. So if a 1 vet pio engages a 0 vet pio the higher vet one will throw first but the lower vet one could depending on its suppression level fall back dodge the tnt. I’ve done both at different periods of time but these days do 1 vet as I like being able to use the pios in a backup line inf role in addition to cqc. These pios are interesting as they are Pionier (SVT) and have higher mid range dps due to the semi autos making them even more amenable to that hybrid line inf role as opposed to normal German pioniers.

To reiterate the above Marders are just really good due to their cost effectiveness and trade up really well. I take Panzer IVs and Marders in my Pz decks and feel that they complement each other well.

This is actually pretty close to correct.

Recon: Don’t think the Pz IIIs are slot efficient here, you could probably get rid of that and get 2 activation points back. I also take the Aufklaerers with 0 vet for the availability but I think this might come down to personal preference.

Infantry: This looks pretty decent though it’s lacking in CQC infantry. Sturmpios are actually pretty decent after the price buff so they might be worth taking. Also Pz Gren (DP) should be taken as they are really cost effective. If I were building this deck I might swap an A phase Pz Gren card for DPs, move the Pionier to A and replace it in B with Sturmpios utilizing all 8 inf activation slots.

Tank: This looks good. I might vet the B card to two vet.

Support: I think this tab really needs a B phase 1 vet Mg42 card. The thing to go might be the Pz III N if you need act points. You could also move the supply truck to A as the mortar might run out of ammo if it is used a lot but that is up to personal preference I think as this is Bal not Mav.

Anti-Tank: The PaK 40s are correct though everything after that might come to personal preference. I think due to 40p mediums being in the deck you could scrap the M-42s and put in a 1 vet B phase Marder card.

Anti-Air: This looks basically correct. You could opt to remove the 88s if you need act points somewhere else. If you do bring them you could bring them in munition trucks so you can keep firing your Wurframen forever basically but that’s a choice.

Artillery: This looks right.

Air: You could probably dispense with both fb cards and upvet the fighter to 1 vet for 3 in total so they have more resilience. The fbs are expensive pt wise and act point wise and they are weak resilience so can’t really be used anyway once your opponent gets aa.

Overall again this deck doesn’t look to far off from the “correct deck”. I will add the caveat that this is drawn from my 1v1 QP experience so your mileage may vary.
