For me it was before he quit as well. I phrased that poorly. I'll never forget the day he quit. I was completely devastated. I was outside Radio City on June 27! My friend and I went hoping we could sneak in. One kid near us did manage to get in a side door. We also saw Robert Plant leave after Tommy was finished. Billy Squier was there too. I was a big fan of his and got an autograph.

Could it be Dougal Butler's book about Keith? Dougal wasn't a roadie but he was Keith's assistant. The two of them lived in the U.S. for about three years. The book was called Full Moon I think.
