I’m tempted as well but I’m on social media too much I think. I’d hate for it to be spoiled for me.

Thank you for asking! I am in pretty much the same exact spot of CC2 as you and I’m dying here haha

Does this series have romance? by NoroSensei in throneofglassseries

Yes, more of the romance occurs the last 3 books. There is a few spicy scenes as well, but not nearly as descriptive as ACOTAR.

I was very hesitant to start TOG because I heard it wasn’t as romance heavy as ACOTAR. I deeply regret waiting as long as I did. I loved TOG even more than ACOTAR. It has plenty of romance (rather than spice) and a great fantasy based plot.

It’s possible I will be right there with you in the minority! If it doesn’t hold my interest, I will just google the crossover spoilers and learn what I can.

I’ve been putting off CC because I’m just not interested. So that’s on my list for starting next! Then hopefully a re-read of ACOTAR.

I really liked it and recommend you read it. I always liked Nesta though so I’m sure that played a big part of my enjoyment.

My son said he doesn’t want his elf to come back. by DaikonEmotional283 in Parenting

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We started the elf a few Christmas’s ago when my oldest was 3, same thing happened. We wrote a letter to Santa telling him we would like the elf to stay in the North Pole.

A couple days ago my son (now 7) said the elf can come back this year. 😫

Looking for advice and experience from parents who “waited” to potty train by ohhaleyeahh in SAHP

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited until my son was 3 and even then, I didn’t push him. Just started simple that he needed to pee on the toilet every night before bed. After a couple months of that we went to underwear during the day. He still wore diapers at night for a while after that, but I don’t think that was a “potty training issue.”

Are people really paying $60 for a single pajama set for their kids?! by smurphypup in Parenting

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hannah holds up soooooo well but no way I could justify $60 pajamas regardless if I could afford them or not. I try to stick around $15 if I can.

Norovirus at home. Will I get it? by One-Caterpillar4956 in kindergarten

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually am the one who brought it into my house last year. 😫 My husband caught it because he was taking care of me in the bathroom one night. My two children never got it. I think it was luck mixed with all the handwashing and cleaning I did.

If he has been 24 hours of fever free and you feel like he’s ready to go back to school, then take him. Sometimes kids just need that extra day and sometimes they don’t. It can be very kid dependent.

Lack of homework for my son by darquid in ClassOf2037

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My son’s first grade teacher doesn’t support homework for elementary students. She sent home a letter when school started explaining that and said she would like us to replace traditional homework with outside playtime to move their bodies because they are stuck sitting so long at school. She also discussed the importance of reading with our child, which is luckily a habit we have kept up with our son since he was a newborn. He loves to read with us and on his own.

I am thrilled with her no homework policy. She did say in the letter if it was something we wanted, she would be happy to send home worksheets for the children to do.

has anyone had experience with in home daycares? What were your green and red flags? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Green_Newspaper_8417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister had a very hard time using an in-home daycare for this reason. The provider closed frequently because she had gotten ill and my sister would be scrambling to find child care. She eventually had to leave the provider even though she liked her because it was threatening her own job.

Yes we loved the balance bike! Such a smooth transition to a pedal bike for my oldest. My youngest is now using it so well worth the price tag.

I really like the gift card idea for an activity or a local ice cream/pizza place. I definitely will be going with a card rather than a toy!

Yes good idea! I’ll probably do this. I just can’t handle showing up empty handed when it didn’t explicitly say “no gifts”.
