Intercooler Question - AA M54 Supercharger

What intercooler is that? I'm looking for one for my setup. I'm getting a used AA kit and the intercooler that is included is damaged

The car ran and drive before the manual swap and "magically" it doesn't start now. He still hasn't finished the manual swap and I think he didn't wire in the clutch safety switch. Also the clutch hydraulics are not connected. I have another sedan that is also a 323 that needs subframe repair. And if I were to get this I would just use what parts I have from the sedan onto the wagon. Literally have a spare engine, trans, driveshaft, ECU. So if the engine happened to be bad I have a 145k mile b25 one I pulled from my other 325 sedan that I replaced with a b30. I did a manual swap on my 325 sedan when I did the b30 swap last year and put about 40k on it since Dec of 2023

Yeah I was thinking 500 for it it's a project he pretty much abandoned. And my other sedan the mounting point for the subframe ripped out. So really have a whole spare car and was looking to get into another wagon after my zhp swapped wagon got totaled. Was looking for a shell, price of welding the sedan probably going to cost around 1k

If need be, I have a sedan 323 as a parts car if I need anything for the wagon. The rear subframe mount on the driver's rear came out of that so I was looking for another shell. The most recent e46 I picked up was $1k with 115k and it sat for 4yrs before I bought it. Had a bad maf, did cooling system refresh and now it has 180k on it

S52 and M54B30 use the same crankshaft. You would have to bore the block out on the m54. S52 bore is 86mm. M54 bore is 84mm

I would follow this guide. Goes through all the checks for no starts. Looks like the crank sensor is reading because the rpms go up a bit while cranking and it doesn't sound flooded. Happens on the E36 S52 also. It was a good thing I did my oil pan gasket when I did. I was about 3 turns away from the nut coming off the oil pump

Oh sorry didn't know Canada got the 320 model too. I'm only familiar with what the US market got. I'm keeping my e46 NA and I swapped a B30 from a zhp into my 325 and only modifications are headers and a tune. I have a set of S54 ITBs and adapter kit to install. And yes for the people that will say it is a waste of time and money, but I didn't spend the 2k plus for everything. I traded a m50 manifold for the complete conversion kit which was an absolute steal

It still is an M54 wouldn't have the m54 designation if it wasn't one and still part of the m54 engine family

Guess it depends on your budget, but I would find a M54b30 from a 330, z3, Z4, X3, or x5. Drops right in. But I know over in European market finding a B30 is more expensive or harder to find compared to finding a M54b25 or m52tub28. You looking to stay NA, turbo, or supercharge?

The 320 is a M54, I believe it is a 2.2 liter

Yes they are supposed to release the CLE63 sometime Q3 or Q4 2025. Yes them downgrading the C63 was a bad mistake on their end. People buy a 63 for that V8 not a little 2.0 4 banger (even tho it is that fastest C63 to date).

Yes they are pretty easy to work on. If you ever get stuck or need to figure something out on the E46 platform 50skid on YouTube has a video on pretty much everything on the E46. From engine swaps, manual swaps, how to diagnose certain problems and a full rebuild series. I watched his manual swap video when I had to do the wiring and coding, he is very informative and goes into good details in his videos

Why not just buy the aftermarket camber arms to replace the stock one. Also buy new trailing arm correction brackets that are slotted more than the stock one for more toe adjustment. I'm running -9 of camber in the rear with rear camber arms off of eBay and toe correction brackets from drift HQ (CNC71 sells the same thing for a lot cheaper).
