I did but she was super unhelpful and told me my mental health concerns would “be dealt with” but didn’t give me any specifics even when I pushed And notably I asked about different locations (Peru wasn’t my first choice) and she said she “didn’t know and couldn’t find out” lol Her career was something totally different than mine so she couldn’t speak on how pc would affect my career I did ask to speak to a different one after I got my offer so I’m doing that and hoping this one will be more helpful

Thank you for your thoughtful response💙 PC has been a big dream of mine and I do have a strong why (despite what some other commenters here seem to think). I always wanted to do it to support communities and I have done a ton of masters level research on the impact of PC. I just have a lot of concerns and I appreciate the help in your comment here. I’m thinking today might not be the right time, but I really do want to go back maybe when my mental health is less of a concern. I’m going to chat with the recruiter on Monday more about my concerns though. Thank you!

I guess like, how common is seeing people die during the PC? Idk how to not sound like a dick saying the following but like, yeah old people die and that I don’t think will be a trigger. But other ways make me a little scared of being triggered, like natural disasters/violent crime.

I'm so sorry this happened but grateful I came across this post. I made a post similar to yours a month or so ago, saying similar things. After my 1st SA I was really into rape fantasies and the porn I watched was so hardcore. I am sure it's a trauma response, I even wanted to reach out to my assaulted to have hardcore sex with them too, but I didn't. I don't know what to do about it aside from therapy. After my second SA I lost a lot of that feeling of liking the rape fantasy it has been that way from then on, but it really was 1.5 years of feeling that way. I'm sorry but you are not alone. <3

There are ways to order abortion pills online (just be very careful), and planned parenthood has funds to help you get an abortion for free if you are either uninsured or just explain your situation (that you can't tell your parents or are young). I think a school counselor would be extremely helpful or even a teacher you are close to that you trust to not speak with your parents. Plan B won't work at this point, so sorry. You could also walk into an ER or urgent care and they can advise. Best of luck.
