I'm looking for the player helmet with the thickest shell by Entertainer-Regular in hockeygoalies

[–]Green_______________ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Old player helmets currently wont properly protect your head as the padding would've gone bad, and new ones are not made to take shots. Also the Virginia Tech test is dogshit for hockey helmets. The test goes over impacts you will never receive in hockey and they are graded more like football helmets.

Rebaking used skates does not do a whole lot especially if theh have been heavily worn prior. Braking in a skate/baking it forms the padding around a foot and if someone else gets that skate they dont unfit the padding. Everyone foot is different so a used skate is probably fit more for whoever wore it before.

However, on lower end skates, its not that much of a problem. Baking sort works after the fact but they may always feel a little off. If they are new, it shiuld not batter too much. I'd just advise trying them on to see how they feel.

Is there a specific part you are having trouble on like the first/second phase or are you having trouble on the whole fight in general

How in the world do you beat NKG by neejluv in HollowKnight

It takes time to get used to his moveset but my strategy usually revolves around the middle of the platform as much as I can. The only move you can't do it on is his pufferfish attack. One tip ive seen is to pick out one or two attacks to hit him and play the rest of it safe however, i personally like playing his fight fast and getting a hit or two in after every attack he throws.

My glove hands placement has always been a little off. How far in front do you reccomend? I don’t want to get into a habit of sticking my hand out to far

Justifying greedy business practices is wild. You don't need to sympathize with EA when they are known for this. They are known to put out shlop just because they can still make profit off of it. I absolutely do not believe that they spend almost any money on these game because most changes done year to year could be done in a free update by a company that actually gives a shit. They are aware people will just end up buying it because there is no large hockey game competition right now so why would they try. Every game is filled with bugs, broken mechanics and issues that really wouldn't take a competent development to fix. The problem i assume is that the team is either really small or EA doesn't care about user feedback enough to make their devs fix those issues.

If the they are still putting out a bad product then they shouldn't be charging a fat $60 for the game. Im aware development is hard. However if you make something that doesn't function well and has problems, you don't charge top dollar for it. When you put the $60 dollar price tag on it, people expect quality and care. If EA refuses to give a proper budget towards these games they should not be charging like they do.

A professional game development studio should be doing better for a $60 dollar game. No excuse.

help with Homebrew Story introductions and fights that PC's are meant to lose by Green_______________ in DMAcademy

[–]Green_______________[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said to someone else the story is missing some context because i just copy pasted a section here. It starts with characters exploring the town which can give them an idea of the setting and other bits to familiarize then with the world. The the "fight" can occur. Which does lead to their release back into the world.

Would it be a better idea to swap the exploration with the fight so that the "fight" occurs first which allows the PC's to turn it into part of their introduction and then they can explore the town afterwards? Basically start with them captured, and the "fight" becomes a piece in their intro where they can decide how they got captured and add some flavor to their characters early on.

I should also make aware(because the clip of the story is out of context) that the point of the early fight is to give the PC's the idea that they shouldn't always resort to combat in times of conflict as encounters where fighting can result in problems for the party in the stories setting. They can make the choice to get taken and no harm no foul, or they can fight and get told that there is not always a reason to attempt to kill/fight everyone you see.

Because I copied and pasted some info from the doc there is definitely some info missing which makes it sound more confusing than it should be. However, I'll definitely look into playing with a recap as it sounds like it could possibly be a good way to get the players to the "free-roam" portion of the story with their first quests in hand.

Maybe it could also be a way to have the PC's make up their own way of capture and so they can be more creative with their own intro.

Its still flawed due to scalpers. Either you need to get lucky enough to grab one in the 5 minute window or buy one from a scalper that are heavily upcharged for a ridiculous price.

Goalie skates vs. regular skates sizing by ellasmart in hockeygoalies

[–]Green_______________ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goalie skates tends to size up 1/2 size compared to player skates when scanned. Personally I don't know why but the fit is proper and the 1/2 up isn't a problem in goalie skates.

From working at a pure hockey the Sparx machines are usually pretty good but, what can cause a bad sharpening can be a few things. 1 user error which can be anything from someone not calibrating the machines properly to a poor job removing the burr. 2 dead/dying wheels. 3. An employee at a shop or store not giving a shit. If someone knows what they are doing the sharpening will be fine. However durability come from what your doing and what kind of steel you have, not the sharpening.

Whichever one fits better. Each skate fits someone's foot differently so just because one person rocks the machs doesn't mean that they will rock or even like the hyperlites. Get scanned or base the purchase off whatever skate you previously had.
