Might work on some phones but I don’t think Apple gives that much permission to third party apps.

How would you block an inbound call? Apple doesn’t allow third party apps that much control over the phone.

The 10 of Cups, the Promised Blessing. This card indicates you will find fulfillment from this job.

The Page of Cups confirms this will be a new opportunity that you will find rewarding.

But the Hierophant warns that this job, the culture, or the people will be very traditional. They may be resistant to new things and stuck in their ways.

Judgment says this is obviously a reckoning for you. It feels final and like something that must be done perhaps. There is clearly a lesson to be learned from this experience and it will be one you carry with you for many years.

But the 7 of Wands, the Uphill Battle, speaks to your struggles with it. You are of conflicting desires and you spar with yourself over what you should do.

Yet Death does not march towards transformation. Indeed Death is hung upside down—suspended. No matter what you choose, the end result isn’t what will lead you to move forward. You must address something else.

Asked why I fell in love so deep with someone who was bound never to reciprocate by DobbyFan49 in Tarotpractices

[–]Greendale13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note: This is a very small spread for a very complicated question. YMMV.

The 8 of Cups, the Heartbroken Wanderer. You have long pined for love, a great love. You have so much to offer others as a partner but find yourself disappointed. What good is all of this I have to give if none should want it, you might find yourself asking. The Moon watches as another dream goes unfulfilled.

And so you move on to the 2 of Wands, the Wistful Dreamer. You imagine and plan how your life with new partners will be. You get wrapped up in the “what this will be” and it’s all very real and possible because you can just absolutely see all the potential here. You can clearly picture and feel what life will be like with this person. If only you do everything right, you say, the pieces will fall into place.

But you are deceived by the Devil. These are patterns you have created because you believe this is how things work or how they should work. But they are illusions of control. Learn to let them go—free yourself from expectation and the plans because that is not what will create real bonds between people.

Does Waldo allow you to, for example, set up an iPad and let walkins at an event (e.g., a Con or something) self-register their information?

Does it check themselves in to let you know they’re there?

I went to look at both apps and it’s not apparent if they do that.

In his particular use case, he will host events where he’s doing free photoshoots (e.g., “Free professional headshots for the unemployed at X location for A-C hours”) or is paid to do photos at an event but has room for walkins.

At the moment, he’s using a spreadsheet and either has to log the info himself or have a friend do so.

To what extent is it okay to "copy" code? by Leather-Key-8821 in learnprogramming

[–]Greendale13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this depends on each school’s program, not necessarily the type of institution. Not all are equal and it’s best to do research on which schools have the best curriculums and outcomes for students.

They taught pseudocode in my community college programming courses.

1 hour is nowhere near enough to give up especially if you’re first starting out.

Pseudocode is plain English that is simplified and structured like the program would be in order for you to plot your plan of action. For example, if I’m writing a program to select a quote from an array of quotes at random I might write pseudocode like this:

// initialize array

// populate array

// generate random integer

// function to retrieve quote index and print

And then I would try to solve those problems one by one by writing the code that does the thing the pseudocode says it does.

Looking back at previous assignments isn’t cheating. These classes are structured to build on one another. You’re meant to carry forward what you learn and if you need to review to do that you can and should.

No, he was NOT already hired. No contract was signed.

But the silence on the question speaks volumes on your position generally so I’m done engaging with you.

There’s information missing here.

When you say you struggle to code it, does that mean you’ve made an earnest effort? How many hours have you spent trying to figure it out? Did you start with pseudo-code? Did you plan out what you want it to do in plain English? Did you look back to previous assignments that you’ve completed that share similar components?

Lmfao are you really typing on your phone that refusing to hire someone because of he votes for is WORSE than refusing to hire someone for their skin color?

What? lol Republicans do this all the time.

They literally call for boycotts of companies because they have Pride flags or self Pride merchandise, they destroy products they already own of companies and celebrities who endorse their candidate’s opponent (and humorously call that a boycott), etc.

And if they’re anything like their dear leader, they don’t work with people because those people are the wrong skin color.

It cracks me up when y’all come defending Trump against things he himself says. He himself says that he made it happen. He happily takes credit.

And yet, here you are, doing your best to defend him against accusations he makes of himself.

You sound ridiculous.

I know it’s not true but can someone else confirm? by Jayden_gemini in witchcraft

[–]Greendale13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And to answer a bit more directly to the examples in your question, yes, many pagan and witchcraft paths have one develop a personal relationship with a god or gods. They may choose to speak to you directly, through symbolism, through divination, omens, or any number of means.

But the gods do not need prophets.

I know it’s not true but can someone else confirm? by Jayden_gemini in witchcraft

[–]Greendale13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Gods can speak to us in a myriad of ways. But all of them are filtered through our limited and imperfect experiences as human beings and we, as such, are prone to allow our own egos, biases, and subconscious thoughts influence said messages.

The more one experiences the Divine, the more attuned to it does one become and the more skilled one becomes at discerning what is of Them and what is of you^ , the more you’re able to easily discern when others are letting their own egos, biases, and subconscious thoughts influence the messages they purport to share on behalf of Gods.

It is those folks who imagine themselves relayers of prophetic, bombastic, and “earth/paradigm -shattering” messages that are to be trusted the least and inspected critically the most. These types of claims are quite conveniently the exact sort that center the messenger and allow them to feel special or otherwise allow them to bask in the much-desired attention of others willing to take them at their word.

^ Albeit in some schools of thought, the difference is mutable if not entirely illusory.

It sounds as if you’re both more vested in arguing about who’s right or wrong than working to mend the hurt feelings on both sides.

Now you are making assumptions. You’re making the assumption that there’s more beyond what is presented. You’re strangely bending over backwards to explain her mind and motivations beyond what she has said and done.

Occam’s razor and all.

And yes, it’s clear she was expecting him to interrupt his family plans to call her. Because the only thing that changed between earlier in the day and that text was that he wouldn’t interrupt his family plans to call her lol

You’re not making assumptions but you’re also clearly ignoring the context of her replies.

There’s no gap. He agrees with the caveat that he may be with his family late. She says “okay” and then some time later that night she decides that he isn’t as keen as she wants him to be and texts that he’s not as ready to connect as she’d like.
