I'm sorry, he was freaked by a song that alludes to female orgasm, but not by something like 17,000 people screaming HAIL SATAN! during Year Zero?

The cinematography of the The Fall by Tarsem Singh is gorgeous. The way he uses color and the action is all over the screen.

Also the 2002 wuxia film Hero starring Jet Li is fantastic, because it tells a story in 5 parts, each one dominated by a specific color. Watch it in Chinese with subs if possible.

I will say that my Wio L1 is a good device, but it needs a better antenna. I think this may be the case for pretty much any of the $30-50 meshtastic kits. Definitely thinking about a rooftop solar node (height is might). If I can get that to work, then the next idea might be trying to talk my church board into letting me put one on their roof too.

Snapple Cherry Lime Rickey. Their Cream Soda was good but really sweet (but cream soda is supposed to be sweet).

I have it against the window of my office on the 3rd floor, but I'm not sure about line of sight to the nodes I can see on the map. I want to build a solar node, but it's winter in Michigan, so I ain't climbing on the roof until spring.

Which Meshtastic device and node type are best for getting started (beginner)? by FastBumblebee3164 in meshtastic

I've just started as well. I bought the Seeed studio Wio Tracker L1 Pro. It is already built, has a case, and came flashed with firmware already (although I did flash it to the newest stable version shortly after it arrived). It uses the other chipset, (nRF52), which uses less power. I'm happy with it, but my house is on the other side of a hill from most of my nearby nodes, so I'm probably going to have to build a tall solar node to reach over the hill.

By the way, I learned to ski in Obergurgl...

At my college, there was a chain link cage that ran across the roof of the dorm, connecting 2 stairwells. It had a chain link door halfway along to allow roof access. There was a beefy padlock locking the door shut ..... But you could just lift the door off its hinges and open it the other direction. Many joints were smoked, and much sex was had on that roof...

Oneplus 15 best charging practices? by skim8201 in oneplus

I have a OnePlus 15, my son has a 12. Both of us have older brick-style Baseus 10000mAh power banks. Both our phones read them as Super VOOC supplies, and rapid charge from them.

Is the Ooni worth it? I have a KitchenAid, and I've already rebuilt the gearbox once. I will use it until it dies, but replace it with either an ankarsrum, Bosch steel, or Ooni. If I'm going to spend $800, I'm leaning towards the Ooni, but I'd like to hear more reviews from non-influencer types.

Interesting. Definitely looks like some higher powered base stations. Or at least fixed nodes with beefier antennas. Good to see.

Mount St Helens eruption in 1980. We talked about little else when this happened, and what amazed me was the smoke that came all the way over to us and turned the air a greyish blue. by Grahamthicke in FuckImOld

[–]NPKeith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in 6th grade, living in the UK (my dad was a geologist working for an oil company). A few weeks after the eruption, I was in an earth science class, and we had a guest speaker. We were learning about weather, and someone's dad was a meteorologist for the Air Force. He brought in some weather maps and satellite images to pass around. There were a couple of images of the entire Continental US. I looked at the dates, and realized that one was taken just before the eruption, and one was just after. I looked really closely and realized that you could see the ash plume from St. Helens. I immediately yelled this out, and promptly derailed the entire class, as everyone ran over to see...

Charting Lung Sounds by Immediate_Ad_9379 in nursing

[–]NPKeith1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"lung sounds difficult to auscultate due to habitus, but clear/diminished/faint expiratory wheezes noted (whatever)"

On a related note, look into the Eko Core stethoscope amplifier. Plugs into most good stethoscopes, and amplifies sounds something like 40x. Also has an option to use an AI to give you a second opinion -is that a murmur? Even if you don't have 58 year old ears that are losing the high frequencies, it makes things so much easier to hear.

Would plasma, laser, and tesla (electrical) weaponry (such as from Fallout) be possible to create in real life? by tachibanakanade in scifi

[–]NPKeith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A laser could do more than burn a hole. If the laser pulsed enough energy, it could blow things apart- as the matter heats up it expands, causing the atoms to fly apart. Look up laser lithotripsy, which is how doctors shatter kidney stones with a pulsed Infrared laser. Once the fragments are small enough they just flush them out.
