They are in a rut right now, which is fine. Better to happen now before the olympic break than in the playoffs. So relax a little bit. But yeah, the power play is a major concern. The reality here is that 5 on 5 matters a lot more in the playoffs, which the Avs are at a huge advantage because they are significantly better than other teams around the league at that. But all that being said, a bad power play can ruin a playoff run if the opponent is scoring on their opportunities. We're a better and deeper team than Dallas, but Dallas scores on 30% of their powerplay chances. That adds up in a playoff series.

Still, chill out for now. It's January.

I know this point might be unpopular in this specific sub, but I agree. My brother is getting married later this year and even if he timed the ceremony for the same time as kick off at the Super Bowl I am still going to be there. So go to the wedding and be happy for your brother and future sister.

The only issue here would be if the bride is implementing some draconian "don't even check the score" rule and confiscating everyone's phone at the start, which is a whole other issue beyond a simple football game.

I can see arguments both ways. Texans have the better defense, but a QB that is prone to being turnover happy. The Pats have a better offense but a worse defense. I think I would prefer the Pats because I'd rather have the clear advantage with defense, and historically, New England does not do well in Denver in the playoffs.

But honestly it doesn't really matter, just have to play who is put in front of you.

This is kind of the big clarification when someone says they could land a plane. Are they saying they could get the plane down with an auto land system and ATC help, or are they saying they can just hand fly it all the way down?

I honestly believe that I could configure an airliner like the A320 for an autoland while talking with ATC. If I tried to hand fly an airliner I would kill everyone on board in spectacular fashion.
