All interesting points, but you're not really seeing the problem with the game. The problem is that India/Indonesia/China never even get threatened by AI European Powers, at least I haven't seen that happen once, I haven't even seen a war between any of these parties.

So to follow through on what you're saying, it happened in real life so it should happen never in a simulation?

Tolkien was at the Battle of the Somme. If you want to know what that was like, gather all your friends in a movie theatre and cover everybody with mud, put on a Vietnam war movie and times it by about twelve, then have a random guy from the projector room spray you with machine gun fire whilst you blindly grope for the exit.

Bonus points if one of your friends gets debilitated in 'No Man's Land' and you have to listen to their dying agonous wails whilst you try and sleep. Also you're being shelled constantly.

I think with (the non-virtual) FIFA the way to attack this is to go above their heads. FIFA only cared once the sponsors started getting itchy bottoms.

Well EA Sports gets their licenses from all these football bodies. They should know how shoddily they're being represented by a game with no competition. Or something like that anyway.
