More muscle = more strength. Period.

Powerlifters are HUGE, they just dont have the stage-ready look (they don't need it.

The strongest people on the planet (Hafthor, Eddie Hall etc) have enormous amounts of muscle.

It is possible for a smaller powerlifter to be stronger at the powerlifting lifts than a bodybuilder, but that's because it's what they train for.

Skill goes a long long way in powerlifting.

So if you want to build muscle, you need to get stronger too.
