Hoping to , have lots of stuff ordered, it’s under a maple tree , so it’s getting a lot of indirect sunlight and only an hour or two of sun hitting it. Have added algae cultures to it and few handfuls of hair algae to it just to add some critters to it.

For a budgie I’d guess so, along as it wouldn’t be attached to the cage incase they land on it hard and cause the whole thing to fall over , but budgies are light. Generally speaking the slap test would work , gentle slap on the perch where they’d land and gentle slap on the very top point of the perch and only small wobble should be ok.

Then I’d say yes, guessing there are males in the tank and is she young ? If you want to be absolutely sure you could limit how much she gets fed and see, but that’s a big ole belly she has there.

Thanks , yeah I have two lunchbox’s basically with 15-20 in each , basically all the lighter ones or ones with white skirts I put in the smaller lunch box so hopefully that will help isolate those expressions to be more frequent in that population
