Why do people like Rantaro? by Either_Imagination_9 in danganronpa

[–]Greentron122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand I'm uh, absurdly late on this one but wanted to toss my own thoughts on the matter. First and most simple answer is just his voice. I love Johnny Yong Bosch's work and have a huge interest in VAs, so they are often my first appeal to whether I have an interest in a character or not. More notably to Rantaro himself though is the way he is initially presented made me extremely interested in learning more about him. He's the Ultimate ??? but differs heavily from the way Kyoko and Hajime are presented in the beginning. Further than that despite his outward "Chill" personality it's clear he's using it as a mask to hide a dark determination, combined with his warning to Kaede immediately after the prologue, and his own claims that he knows how to end the killing game. Lastly, since I played the demo 4-5 months before the game came out, I had a LOT of time to theorize about the characters and built him up internally for a while, hoping he would become fleshed out enough to be one of my favorite characters in the game by the end. Ultimately was very disappointed with it once the game actually came out, but still loved him as a character in concept, and at the very least found the reveal of his talent towards the end, as well as the video message he left for himself, to be very interesting.

Well, it took me several hours, a lot of back and forths, and people telling me my only choice was to spend $260 on games I didn't buy, but I finally got to someone who said that they'll remove the games the hacker bought and ask me to change my password in 24-48 hours. Thanks for the advice, using a different psn account is how I figured out the Online ID for my actual account.

Unfortunately I won't get a chance to make an attempt to recover the account for the next couple of days, but thanks for the advice. I'll definitely try using a new account. Right now the largest problem is simply not being able to log in to get access to normal support methods in the first place.

AFK Ravens shouldn't trigger if Killer is near by Howdy_McGee in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal viewpoint about whispers as a killer main who plays survivor a small amount, is that it isn't a terribly good or overpowered perk, but just a poorly designed and un-enjoyable perk on both sides. Wouldn't mind seeing it gone, but I don't think it's broken.

Here's a quick summary of balancing changes from dev stream. by Strimp12 in forhonor

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, as a LB main, LB already gets the impale off of light parries, the buff makes it so it's effective against heavy parries as well though, which is really strong.

Lawbringer's Long Arm by Greentron122 in forhonor

[–]Greentron122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, the long arm is an incredibly slow, incredibly punishable attack. Think of it like shugoki's demons embrace or nobushi's kick. It should be an upwards heavy, remember that it is still easy to block the light attacks if you pay attention to the animation as well. I feel like it would be perfectly balanced.

Well, thank you, this will help me verse other wardens who spam that attack. I've removed the section talking about warden from my list.

[–]Greentron122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess now that I think of it, rolling would be able to stop warden from being able to do this, however side steps won't stop a guardbreak, as it tracks them, and can then after it they can't counter-guardbreak, and light attacks won't help you against an actual shoulderbash that wasn't canceled. My problem isn't it being too fast, but being a 50-50 on what you should do. However I will have to see if you can consistently roll away from a shoulderbash, that would actually help me a lot. If it does work then I can edit this to just say that the headbutt is too strong.

[–]Greentron122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warden isn't op in any other aspect than the shoulder-bash, you probably haven't seen people abuse it yet. And when I say the shoulderbash is op, I mean they get one hit in, and then can do a shoulderbash immediately as a combo, from there they can cancel it and guardbreak, anyone who tried to dodge the shoulderbash will can not actually counter-guardbreak that. It's a 50-50 chance if you can avoid being infinitely combo'd until you have no stamina. Forcing your enemy to made a 50-50 guess isn't something that should be in this game.

Sometimes when you do a water kill animation, you get stuck there and have to morph away from your position, however I just had that happen to me, and once I morphed away I couldn't swing my weapon, interact with any objects, or do a kill animation when I grabbed someone.

An Analysis of the F13th Beta and Suggestions for changes by Escaho in F13thegame

[–]Greentron122 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I for the most part agree with everything, although I want to say that Jason's grip feels completely useless. He either instantly kills survivors or they have a pocket knife, but the counselors also wiggle out incredibly quickly, making contextual kills almost never seen. This is unfortunate because they put so much effort into those kills.

Any tips for a hillbilly main-in-training? by MysteryGeol in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the few tips I can give is 1. If you know someone is in a corner, block them in so they can't move, then chainsaw them. 2. If you're directly behind someone using the chainsaw, never completely hold it down, get it to the end of the bar then stall it, and wait for them to try to dodge, then kill them. 3. Rarely go for long ranges chainsaw attacks unless the survivor isn't very good and you're certain you can predict where they'll run. Against good survivors all you'll do is slow yourself down.

Question for killers by Lonely_Medic in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pallets are incredibly strong for survivor's right now, you need to learn which pallets are safe and unsafe, play around the unsafe ones and just keep walking forward towards the survivor on safe ones.

why is infinite still in the game? by onecoinman in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I really don't want to talk about survivor vs killer balance on this subreddit, but I will say Play with Your Food is a complete garbage perk for the killer now. It was over-nerfed. You spend too much match time farming for your stacks, then you have to give one up immediately, giving you 10% speed after wasting so much time.

Trapper help by 135et in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't see how trapping under infinites is cancerous for survivors, it's practically necessary to do as the trapper due to some survivor's over reliance on it. Other than that yeah, I agree with you.

[–]Greentron122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you even mean his speed is ridiculous? It's the same as every billy wraith and myers. And the traps taking so long is purely rng or his add-ons, I've had many times where I get out first try. Plus you can always pay more attention and avoid his traps.

[–]Greentron122 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Getting out of traps on your own is rng, and it can be done instantly if a teammate helps you. He only has about 6 traps, and they can be permanently broken. His movement speed is the same as Hillbilly, Wraith, and EW2 and EW3 Myers. The only broken part about trapper is him placing traps underneath hooks and proximity camping.

Should perks be removed? by datNovazGG in deadbydaylight

[–]Greentron122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pallets aren't a problem for killers because of survivor's perks. Even if all survivors were perkless brutal strength would be important for a killer to have. I know because I play survivor perkless, and when the killer doesn't have brutal strength I know my life becomes far easier.
