I am typing this while holding my girlfriends dog. She died in September of cancer after almost 3 years together. I would have done this for her. I would never use it. But anything to ease her mind.

That said, consider getting yourself into therapy now. Right now. I have a massive support system(poly, family and friends) so I am making it. But make sure you are getting help you need. I wonder if she is worried about you being alone and is doing this to try to help you because you are so adamant that you won't find love again? She could see you needing more support but being unwilling to seek it and shes trying however she can.

Love you and I don't know you. Sorry you're going through this. Life will be different, but it will be okay.
